So, my friend and I both have our own switches. We both own terraria and we used to play a lot in the last months. Since she's got a new switch last month it didn't work properly. In the past we used to both play on the same network and it always worked. Now for some reason we can't see when the other one of us has a world open as server. Note: We both have NSO, I have it for one year and she has it for the next 3 months.

@mythiesimp Edit: I don't know what you mean by, "you used to play on the same network"? You played each other local wireless?

If you're friend got a new Switch, I think they have a new Switch friend code now? I thought friend codes were unique to each console. I could be wrong.

And, In some games, like Rocket League, you ALSO have to add the friend in-game. Just being Switch friends doesn't mean you're friends in Rocket League. I'm wondering if getting a new Switch changed something, and you have to re-add your friend in-game?

What I mean by "we used to play together on the same network" is literally that what it says. Terraria has not yet developed a local wireless multiplayer for the switch - according to one of the developers in their own forums - due to it being quite complicated. He also mentioned they would develop that for the next patch.

And the thing is, my friend has the same code, we even unfriended each other to try and maybe refresh the thing, which sadly didn't work either. Terraria normally sees the servers of people you're friends with automatically when you want to join a multiplayer world. This is why I find this very very weird, because it used to work perfectly fine and there is no problem with the NAT type, since we both play on the same WiFi.

@mythiesimp I see what you're saying.

I'd like to be wrong, but I'm wondering if you've got/found a bug with Terraria, not being able to play with your friend after they got a new Switch. Like, either it's a bug in the game, or a corrupt file issue. Otherwise, I'd say talk to support for the game, but it sounds like you've already been there.
