Topic: Nintendo Switch/Games/Accessories prices outside US

Hey guys, so today there's a price for the switch in Amazon Mexico as well for some games and accessories. I think theyre a bit overpriced, I just wanna compare prices with other places and to ask if you would buy it with these prices.

Nintendo Switch - $500
2 joycons package - $135
Zelda BotW - $80
1-2-Switch - $70
Joycon charging grip - $50

All prices are in us dollars

I think the prices look even worse for us in Mexico because the dollar is so expensive right now. (Multiply the prices by 20).

from Amazon Italy:

Nintendo Switch - €329.99 = $353.14
Pro Controller - €69.99 = $74.90
Zelda - €69.80 = $74,69
2 Joy-Con package (grey) = €79.99 = $85.60

the rest I can't be bothered to check - I just see an endless list of official carrying cases.

@Meowpheel I know, it sucks, I just hope this price is because it's a new piece of technology or something, because if it doesn't I ain't buying one even though I want to.
In Amazon the ps4/Xbox one are sold at $325, that's a reasonable price, let's just hope the switch sells for the same a few months later.

@spizzamarozzi Still don't get the price difference either. The Switch is 25,000 JPY, that's €208!! If they're still this expensive this holiday season, then I'm seriously thinking about importing one from Japan. Don't even care about the €30 shipping costs, it's still €100 cheaper than over here.

The european prices are all the same for Italy, Germany, UK and whatnot because we automatically add the VAT tax to the recommended price of 299.99 Nintendo announced (in the US I believe each state has its own tax). Amazon Japan says the basic Switch pack is 40,000 JPY, which is approx €330.

@spizzamarozzi Did I say 25,000? I believe that was from an earlier report, I meant 30,000. Their own live event said it was going to be 29,990 JPY or something like that. That's still only €250. Unless Japan has the same weird tax issues as the US, where it's not included in the advertised price.

Our economy may be trash, but at least all our prices already reflect taxes. No surprises at check out here.
