Looks like the correct answer for August 28th news is absolutely nothing, not even Animal Crossing update info.

So this confirms it. Nintendo has absolutely nothing(maybe they'll prove me wrong with a shadow drop) for the rest of the year besides a Wiiu port. I don't know whether to cry or laugh.

I wouldn't rule out one being released sometime in the next 6-7 hours without prior notice, if any of you are still desperately hanging on to 28th hope. Losers

It is now 4.15pm in the UK and I think I have now accepted there will be no Nintendo Direct today

@Slowdive you don't "know" anything. Just guessing.

Even there is No Nintendo Direct today, i still happy with my games i have bought currently.
I still log on ACNH everyday, still many backlogs i haven't finished and other old games i want to buy.
And some upcoming games from playasia were my lifesafer.

These past few months have made me come to the conclusion that saving DQXIS as a backlog title for during the 2nd half of 2020 instead of fully playing through it back in early 2020 (I made the decision in case the droughts were worse in the 2nd half) was one of the best decisions I've made this year. Nintendo Switch is nothing more than a rumour machine nowadays.

These leakers should just stop posting if their info is wrong. If they claim it was an honest mistake, at least show proof where they got their sources.

@Don leakers exposing their sources to validate themselves is a ***** thing to do.

@jump Yeah, plus if they are getting info from Nintendo employees they would 100% be fired

I know, its all just rumors.
As for the games: Botw2 should be ready for the holiday, and maybe even Bravely default, Hollow knight Silksong, Crash bandicoot 4, Doom eternal. And they could show at least some trailers for Metroid prime 4, Bayonetta 3, No more heroes 3, a new 3D Mario? Meanwhile, we get absolutely totally NOTHING!

I thought anyone exposing themselves is illegal in most Nintendo markets?
