Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

I wonder what about Indie Direct Japanese version?
Did they have different games announced?

Raji and Manifold Garden at least look like games I want, maybe Spiritfarer or Hypnospace...? Bear & Breakfast, Evergate, and a Short Hike are maybes too.

I'll give it this, there was nothing in it that flat out bored me, which might be a first. Usually, there's at least one title that just falls flat.

I might be in the minority here but I honestly cringe whenever I'm listening to whoever they get to narrate these Indie World showcases. The translators for people like Koizumi and Shinji Takahashi on the main Directs sound more charismatic without trying nearly as hard to sound cool

I thought it was one of the better presentations we've had of any sort. I'm not sure which games I'll be buying yet but all of them at least looked somewhat interesting and six of them having six of them come out today is pretty crazy.

@Grumblevolcano oh yes i did a little check on Nintendo YouTube Channel before i watched, the Indie World in the GameXplain Channel and i lot of people was demading Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Prime 4 and Splatoon 3, this kinda of coment.

@Giancarlothomaz Honestly, it's more memes than anything at this point. Vast majority of those people probably are doing it just to be 'funny'

Overall, not really anything for me. Might look at Raji as it sounds interesting on paper, but otherwise...

Full direct with new first party games when Nintendo?

@Slowdive A lot of these insider predictions we're getting now are vague riddles like "lightning sometimes strikes twice", "last stop before the final destination", and "wild card". There's not much cost for getting that wrong.
Someone can get one thing right (NSMBUD) and still be off on others. Pikmin 3 coming out eventually is a pretty safe bet, considering the number of Wii U games that have been ported to the Switch. Metroid Prime trilogy, despite being "almost done" since January 2019, has still not been revealed. That casts a lot of doubt on the idea that it's real. A lot of "trustworthy" sources were quite convinced Star Fox Grand Prix was real. The NX getting a Smash 4 port was clearly wrong, a new Smash game is completely different from a Smash 4 port (it was common knowledge the system would get one or the other).

@Euler Don't forget the Best Buy listing of Persona 5 for Switch except it was the vanilla release instead of Royal and it was being published by Nintendo of America instead of Atlus

I gave it an honest shake, but there honestly wasn't anything in that Indie World that excited me. I do enjoy indies from time to time (Shantae & most Inti Creates games, for example), but they're not a regular part of my gaming diet.

@BenAV Even most of games not being ohhhh, it was good enough to let us wtith some things at horizon now. I will try one of the demos that will came out today and I am waiting one or two of the other games be released.

No fall guys, ori 2, battletoads, cuphead doc.This is why we don't take nate for hate as gospel or any insider for that matter. Yes some insiders predicted a mini. But they basically got all the predictions wrong. Just like how they got the "trust 343" xbox prediction wrong. Just like I'm waiting on starfox gp. Metroid prime HD trilogy....

@DenDen I agree it looked good. Wasn't anything predicted other than a 2 player goose game. But it was still good.

None of the games I predicted showed up during the Indie World Showcase but I still really liked it. It was a strong presentation all-around!

@Slowdive there maybe a direct very soon. But based on all these leakers I can't assume that what they think is going to be in the event will indeed be in the event. And isn't that the most important part? I can say there's a direct... of course at some point there's going to be a direct... what's in the direct is what people want to know.

Nintendo: Here are like 4 or 5 indie games today!
Me: Thanks, I'll remember 2 of them exist in my lifetime and maybe buy 1 of them!

there are in fact too many games, i will die having only ever played 1/10 of the cool games i see

Not to poopoo any of the indie games as about half of my library are in fact, indie games and I love them; but, has anyone else noticed that at least 75% of the indie games shown in these show cases are always released much later than they state in the show? I feel like its been a thing for a while now. Not really complaining or anything, just wanted to know if I'm the only one who catches onto that.
