Super excited for this one. Like I said elsewhere, it's not the 2020 zelda game i wanted( a warriors game) but im pleasantly surprised and i love all the botw ties. This is easily a day 1 for me.
This is the Holiday title for me. The "Warriors" games never grabbed me long due to a lack of story-commitment for me. Having played BOTW and being curious about the Calamity, I have hopes that this will fit in perfect with my expectations.
HW: AOC -> TLOZ BOTW -> TLOZ BOTW2. Looks like a fiiiine timeline to me. Excited to go back to this version of Hyrule!
I just hope they don’t go and pretend the story mode is enough. We need some extra non-canon characters & chapters and adventure maps, and all that fun stuff too.
I heard great things about Persona 5 Scramble as a merge between persona and musou. Has anyone experience with it? maybe we can expect a decent crossover!
@teo_o I've watched gameplay (since they still somehow haven't localized it after what, nearly 2 years now?), and it looks very different. Things like being able to use skills from a menu, stealth sections, being able to climb objects, actually fighting as a team with your allies, third eye, growing your personas with the same system as P5, actual exploration outside of battles, implementing weaknesses and all out attacks, new characters that actually look like Persona native characters...
Suffice to say, I was very impressed from what I've seen. Definitely looks like far more than a simple skin.
@TheFrenchiestFry Please, Atlus would have given us a date first, then a second date, then a title with another date, then an actual teaser trailer with another date, then a true reveal. K-T isn't even on their level ;p
I came here as soon as I saw this to say AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
You ever see something happen and you feel almost ashamed as a fan that you never thought of it even once yourself? "Use a new Hyrule Warriors to explore the past story of BOTW" is absolutely one of those ideas. I'm so pumped for this. It's so smart. Zelda team doesn't want to fully explore the past of the game, fine. Let someone else do it instead! Perfect compromise, I could not be happier about this.
And the gameplay fits perfectly with what we are told in BotW, like... There's no way Link could've killed all those enemies in that one flashback, unless the past was a musou game!
Love the musou genre, so naturally I'm onboard for this.

So I put 200 hours into the original Hyrule Warriors on Wii U, despite never buying the DLC. Pretty much the only reason I stopped was because I couldn't justify playing only this one game forever while ignoring other games.

The hints were there all along...
And then all the totally canon DLC characters will help!
