I haven't tried a new game yet but since they broke the Dee Dee stop quest (after the patch, all stops were completed so you can't progress in the story) I was debating if I should start over. Devs said they were aware of the issue and were working on it but we all know that could be 1-2 months out and rolled in with other stuff. Maybe I'll make a new file later tonight and see how that works. The update didn't seem to impact my current save file much with load times and menu swapping, but it's not massive enough to completely turn me off.

Inability to progress in the main line aside, the game has been enjoyable. I've been able to find a few ways to make a good bit of cash and have explored some of the areas since there aren't quests to worry about at this point. If I make a new file I'll be able to get things done better and faster and will still enjoy it. Since I haven't opened up any of the other areas yet, there's a ton left for me to experience and I'm looking forward to it.

As someone who only played after the update, I haven't had any major issues. There is a pause after you come out of the menus and there is occassionaly some stuttering but it doesn't happen often. I've noticed some small bugs that are funny but don't actually affect the game. The game is great and I'm glad I waited to buy it on Switch rather than buying on Steam ages ago.

A new patch is now live. List of fixes in the tweet. I've got money in my eshop wallet and was so close to pulling the trigger now it's on sale but was put of because it sounded like a disastrous port.

Oh snap! I love this game but the lag and stutters make it painful. Can't wait to try this when I get in tonight.

I wouldn't say it was a disaster but there have been growing pains for a small company. With everything wrong or annoying, I've managed to get near the end of the game and my biggest complaint now is how I want more content!

All things considered, you know they care about their game and are working to improve it so if it's on sale, grab it! I hadn't looked for the update yet but will get that going in a short bit. If load/menu lag is better and the random crashes are better, solid game port.

May give it another shot but had to put it down since the performance was so bad (2 hard crashes and SO MUCH LAG)

That said, the actual gameplay loop is very satisfying. When you get a commission that you’re like “how the heck do I make that??” then gradually piecing it together is really rewarding.

If the performance really is fixed and anyone’s picking this up, I’d recommend playing without a guide. It’s enjoyable to figure everything out.

The lag to menus has been fixed. Random crashes? only time will tell but so far the performance runs much smoother. Still a few hiccups every so often but pretty solid since updating.

Other people have been saying that they are still getting a lot of crashes.

I feel like I can play this again now that the lag has and stuttering has smoothed out. I did restart though just to make it easier.

@DonkeyDiddyKong
I had 1 crash last night, played maybe 2-3 hours. It was at the start of the day so wasn't a huge deal. Load times are roughly the same so that's my biggest gripe at the moment. I no longer dread opening my inventory hah!

I fired up my copy of the game for the first time over the weekend. This is quite a nice sim-life / crafting game. Played for a few hours, haven't experienced any crashes yet, although the game has had 2.5 GB of updates since launch. Due to that file size, it was next up on my trade-or-keep chopping block.

I think this one might be a keeper.

Compared to World of Neverland, this game feels like a more worthwhile experience.

Switch version, whenever possible, naturally.
