Monster Hunter loves launching in March.

Nintendo currently is rumored to aim for a March 2025 Switch 2 launch.

I believe that Nintendo has collaborated closely with Capcom to ensure Monster Hunter Wilds would become a launch title for the Switch 2.

The initial footage looked fully within the capabilities of a theoretical Switch 2, resembling pretty closely the graphical prowess of Horizon Zero Dawn (a PS4 title).

A brand new Monster Hunter title would be an instant console-seller for Nintendo. Their relationship is presumed to be very strong after the great success of MHRise, and it's possible Capcom was one of the very first developers to get their hands on a Switch 2 devkit.

At this point in time, I feel this to be all but certain in my mind.

I certainly think that Rise's success will definitely lean into Capcom making Wilds "work" on Switch2, albeit I'd probably expect a PS/XB launch first...followed closely by a Switch2 port.

At this point I don't know...and seeing how that I didn't enjoy World/IB as much, I feel like there's a chance I won't like this game as much. Well, at least I can still look forward to Portable Team's next game if I end up not liking Wilds either...lol

Fairly certain Wilds is a Playstation exclusive, as it's the target platform performance wise. Capcom have two MH development teams. One for consoles and one for portables. It's fair to assume that, like Rise, NG Switch will get a timed-exclusive MH game.

@Magician PS5, Xbox Series and Steam according to the Capcom Website. No mention of Switch (or Switch 2 obviously) but I guess they could always add Switch 2 if/when it gets announced.
