Topic: Megaman legacy collection only in demo modus

Hi All, I downloaded MEgaman legacy collection, but how should we play this game? Whatever I was trying, it is only in some kind of demo modus available. I might not have selected the right one to download? Is this version only playable if another MM game is downloaded as well? Thanks for helping!

@BartZw That's odd... I don't recall having that problem and I have all the Mega Man collections on the Switch. It shouldn't matter if another game is downloaded, it should be playable on its own. The MM collections don't have demo versions IIRC, but I do know that Mega Man 11 has a demo version, with the only playable level being Block Man's level. Perhaps you downloaded that? If it is indeed one of the legacy collections, I guess you could try redownloading it and see if that fixes the problem.

It might also help to describe what happens when you start the game. Can you not get past the title screen, or get to the game select menu?

No problem with the startup, I can get passed the start screen, I can select a game. Then the game loads and starts playing a demo. The name of the download I purchased is MM Legacy Collection

@BartZw All righty. I know that most Mega Man games start out with a story intro (like Mega Man 2, for example), and you could skip those to go to the game's title screen if you want. Mega Man 1 and 3, however, just go to the title screen. You should see the level select when you start the game. Hope this helped.

Thanks @MarioLover92, I did a new installation, however with the same result. In the title screen Incan select MM X, MMX2, MMX3 and MMX4. The first three only gives a demo model. MMX4 does work and there I can select ‘Play Game after selecting MMX4. Any idea why the first three don’t work?

@BartZw Gee, I don't know... I played it for a bit and I was able to play any of the four games. I didn't find that option you mentioned, either. It took me to the game select after the title screen, and I played a little bit of Mega Man X and X2. Maybe make sure that there's a software update for that game? Mine's up to date and it should be at version 1.0.0. You may also want to contact Nintendo about this, they probably know more about this than I do. Sorry I wasn't of much help.
