@Grumblevolcano I'm guessing it's a download code? I'd love to think it's a great release for game preservation, everything is on the cartridge...but I doubt it.
It looks like leftover copies of MK8D from the warehouse, repackaged with a download code and some stickers.
@Eel That's the theme of this dlc! For better or worse
I haven't been able to buy many games over the past two years, so having some new courses has been nice. But it does feel lazy! Maybe it's more fun for people that haven't played Tour.
Do y’all think we could get 4 cups this wave instead of 2 as the wild card reveal (like custom items in w3, new characters starting with w4 and new meta in w4/5)?
There’s clearly still some Mario Kart Tour remakes that haven’t been preserved, but not enough to totally justify a BCP2, and 2 cups won’t fit them all
Pretty much inactive

Currently Playing: Suprisingly, nothing.
@DiamondCore definitely not. The extras we've seen so far are behind the scenes tweaks. A couple of people could adjust numbers that were already there.
Adding tracks is a ton of work, even if they don't look as good as the base game. Take your two extra characters and expect nothing major!
@Magician Ahh that's interesting.
So the NA Direct didn't show anything
The EU Direct showed a physical code-in-box version of the Booster Course Pass
And the JP Direct showed a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + BCP code-in-box bundle.
@Nintoz Sadly no, for outside Japan there was only Pokemon Sword/Shield for this type of release. This Japan physical release does give hope for wave 6 being released before October 6th though, doesn't really make sense to have a physical release that only has waves 1-5.
Calling that "Holiday" is very questionable but then again, retail seems to put holiday stuff like decorations in stores earlier and earlier nowadays. Halloween is cancelled, holiday season begins September 1st kind of nonsense probably isn't that far off from happening if it hasn't happened already.
The fact that tour ends update on the battle tour rather than the anniversary tour is suspicious I think we might still be getting extra battle courses for the booster course pass
If Tour support stops after October 4th (Wednesday), and the "physical" version releases on the 6th (Friday)...it does suggest that we'll be seeing Wave 6 around that time.
I was expecting it to come later but maybe they're rounding off this generation of Mario Kart all at once. Definitely seems like the same teams of people behind both projects.
Not daisy circuit I am in the minority when I say I genuinely don’t like daisy. She is as much a recolor as pink gold peach. I would of preferred toads factory.
I fear no man
but that thing:
The carrot minigame from bowser's inside story
it scares me
Not sure whether this increases or decreases the chance of wave 6 releasing on the week beginning October 2nd but there's official tournaments on the weekend of that week:
@Grumblevolcano Before they release the new wave, doesn't Nintendo usually spend 3-4 weeks posting switch news articles(one a week) hilighting new tracks in the current wave? I don't think I've seen switch news start that process yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.
