Topic: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Tomorrow wave 1 will be 4 months old, back then E3 2022 wasn't cancelled yet so everyone was expecting a big general Direct on June 14th which would announce wave 2.

The whole 7-11 ad for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass, WAS A COMPLETE LIE! A JOKE! Great! Now we have to wait until next week or the week after! BUT I WANT WAVE 2 NOW!

@WaterKirby1964 It's still quite likely to drop tomorrow given it being the 4 month mark of wave 1 and there being maintenance on the Nintendo Switch servers tomorrow as well.

So Nintendo just uploaded a short XC3 video which features the MK8 style "8", is this perhaps the new flaming Chibi-Robo?

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is so fun but is also getting old so I think the switch is due for a new one. maybe in 2023 or 2024.

I think timing will come down to whether Nintendo wants to do a worldwide launch or gradually release it by time zone. If gradual release by time zone (like wave 1), I think they'll do a trailer today at 2pm or 3pm UK time with Japan, Australia and New Zealand getting the tracks first meanwhile if worldwide launch I think the release will be around 1am or 2am UK time tomorrow.

@Grumblevolcano I like the fact that it moves like an animatronic, very cool stuff. I think I'm the kind of guy who just really likes LEGO builds like this ever since I watched a LEGO documentary where they showcased the process of how they built a to scale X-Wing from Star Wars.

Also, if we're to go off of last week, this may very well be the only announcement of today.

@Fizza I'm honestly thinking Nintendo is just going to drop the dlc tonight and release the trailer tomorrow. Nintendo doesn't even seem to care about promoting the dlc anymore...
