Topic: Super Mario 3D All-Stars

@Snatcher The Mario Kart Tour mission is optional, actually. If you do all the Mario website missions as well as claiming your gold coins, you're good. It may take a while for the "Purchase 3D All-Stars" mission to be processed after getting the gold coins, though.

I started up Galaxy, and boy oh boy, I just got a HUGE wave of nostalgia. I love that game to death, especially without the motion controls. Surprisingly, I prefer the touchscreen options on handheld over it. Much easier to nab star bits. I don't like the cursor stays long after you push any button. Just looks weird for a while, and I wish they would've made it so it goes away immediately if you're not using it. Other then that, I can definitely say galaxy's the best so far graphic-wise. Unlike 64 and Sunshine I can see a huge difference graphically with the game.

There are 6 copies at a Meijer near me. I’m holding off till I’m certain I want it. And till I have more money😂

Just wanted to say: Galaxy with a Pro-Controller is pure perfection. It's like as if this game was always supposed to be played with a proper controller

Makes me wish even more that we would have gotten Galaxy 2, but I guess controlling yoshi in handheld-mode would be nearly impossible since you can't use the touchscreen and jump/move at the same time which is required at many points. It would only work if they would implement motion-control in handheld-mode, which would be kind of weird but not the worst thing ever

@mariomaster96 Hmmm I might have to give Galaxy a try then. That was one of my biggest problems was the Wiimote control.

Mario in Sunshine with short sleeves doesn’t look right to me.

@Octane @megasean Nintendo should have provided options and settings for everybody, that's for sure. Their settings menus are usually disappointing.

@BabyYoshi12 I told you on one of the 1,529 rankings threads that Super Mario 64 is fun 🤣. Of course, graphics and camera have aged but it's the most balanced of all the Mario 3D games that exist (but my favourite is Super Mario Sunshine). If they had remade Super Mario 64, people would go crazy for it.

Right stick wouldn't work cause that would cause the same problem (can't use right stick and jump buttons at the same time)

@mariomaster96 You are right. Then what @Snatcher says or a targeting system a la Sonic. Yoshi doesn't appear often in that game anyway.

So not only did they change the controls for Mario 64 and Sunshine from the way they were when they released, they provided no option/ability to customize them or change them back to the way they were when the games came out?

Thanks for ruining an experience I was super excited to be able to play again.
