Banjo-

@Dezzy That's impressive.

@Apportal I don't hate stickers but I wanted to joke with @Eel.

@BlueOcean I never said you hated stickers...

EDIT: oh never mind I saw your conversation with Eel.

@Apportal So what game will you guys play first when you get this elusive collection?

I want to start with Super Mario 64, I can get the 120 stars quickly.

I'm thinking of alternating between them and doing a couple of stars in each, then switching games. Probably starting with Sunshine though, because I haven't played it properly since the gamecube days.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Banjo-

@Dezzy That will be the second game that I'll play and I have got the 120 shines only once. That is also the port I'm most excited to play.

@BlueOcean tough choice. Probably 64, then Galaxy, then Sunshine. I haven’t played Sunshine in almost a decade, and Galaxy has always been my favorite. Still looking forward to trying out Sunshine again despite it being my least favorite.

@BlueOcean I was asking myself the same question today! I haven't played 64 or Galaxy and I haven't touched Sunshine in at least 10 years, so I'll probably play them in release order.

I’m mainly buying it for Sunshine so Sunshine first and then probably leave it for 6 months to then maybe play Galaxy.

I'll likely play the games in chronological order. Like @BlueOcean I've gotten all 120 Shine Sprites just once and I really like the upscaling and 16:9 aspect ratio, so this is the one I'm most looking forward to revisiting. Just gotta prep myself for some REALLY hard parts...it's one of the more difficult Mario games for sure.

@BlueOcean I've probably completed Sunshine a dozen times or so. But I think I'll start with 64 first, in chronological order.

@Octane I think the majority want to start with 64

@MarioLover92 I had forgotten the correct term, shine sprite. Some of them are quite challenging to get, especially the levels without FLUDD because you get used to him so easily.

@Octane Wow a dozen times getting all the shine sprites means serious skill.

I've only done so once, and it took me a combined off and on total of 3 years. Mostly due to its clonky controls. I hope the switch fixes that.

@jump @Eel I'm also more interested in Super Mario Sunshine.

@Apportal I get used to FLUDD easily, it's when he's not with you when things become uphill. That isn't frequent, fortunately.

I'm buying this for Sunshine (yaay!) and for the HD version of Galaxy.

I have little to no interest in 64 as it looks hideous and I strongly doubt that I will enjoy playing it today as I hadn't grown up with it to have any sort of nostalgic yearning for it. If they had bothered to port the DS remake, however, I would have been a lot more keen.

Porygon did nothing wrong.

Yeah those fluddless levels were quite challenging, from what I remember.

It was always like "oh no, this again".

@Silly_G Give it a chance, it's a fun game, I rarely re-play games and I have beat it 100% around 20 times (on N64 as a kid and a few more times on Wii and Wii U). It looks and feels much smoother on Switch.

@Eel They are quite the challenge because you tend to press the trigger, desperately, looking for that extra hovering.
