Whilst I wasn't expecting anything major from EA I can't believe they're not bringing some form of madden to switch. 14 million users, surely a percentage of those would buy it?
Big fan of American Football games despite not being a fan of the sport other than the Super Bowl and big games. Would have happily bought this as they make a great sofa multiplayer game... especially when no one else has a clue and it all just goes crazy.
I’d pay at least $200 to the accessibility to play madden on the switch, wherever I wanted
Is Mutant Football League not enough when it comes to Murican Football on Switch?

@Magician Mutant Football League is more of an Arcade sports title then a Sim like Madden is. It's like saying Mario Kart is enough of a racing game when someone is wanting Gran Turismo.

I'm aware of that, thanks. But I'm curious if Pwilliegetstewy is aware of the existence of MFL?

EA has long since given up on the Switch and Nintendo in general. On the rare chance they bring a game to a Nintendo platform that always release a vastly inferior version and then act surprised when the inferior product they provided doesn't sell well. They make nonsense comments like "Nintendo games don't want these kind of games".
Notable examples I can think of was the release of Mass Effect 3 on Wii U, a game built off of its connectivity with its prequels, and did not bring those prequels to the Wii U - Almost no one was going to choose the Wii U version in that case. More recently they did bring FIFA to Switch but a dumbed down version missing features and on a different game engine. Of course most FIFA fans would pick the version on other consoles!
Though I have to admit, I am surprised they haven't given the same poor treatment to Madden that they have with other properties.

EA hasn't completely given up on Switch. The releases of FIFA, Unravel Two, and Fe are proof of that. However, EA does treat Nintendo like a second class citizen. Nintendo's relationship with every major publisher that backed the Wii U took a hit, and EA is more reluctant than others to return. But when the Switch passes the Xbox One in lifetime sales later this year, I think things will turn around and we'll have a good chance of seeing the EA sports games return.

Bumping, because I'm sad that Madden Switch isn't one of the EA 7. Maybe next year?
I just wish EA hadn't started this $&#?! trend of money-hatting sports leagues so only one licensed sports game per league is created. I remember when we had Madden and NFL2K, in fact, the whole EA sports lineup vs 2K Sports... And then EA decided they didn't want to compete on quality...
@Magician everyone treats Nintendo like a second class citizen. They do it and know they can get away with it. The fact we don’t have GTAV on switch but it’s on like everything else that can run a game is telling. Same thing with COD.

Slightly encouraged that we either get a late edition by the holidays or we get a version for 2021.
@Tasuki good for you. I have always been and will be a one console owner. That’s not a fix and will just force publishers to continue to treat Nintendo gamers a certain way.
@Qwertyninty But why subject yourself to that? If you want to play other games that don't make it to other consoles why keep yourself from playing them? Owning one console is not going to prove anything to publishers.

As much as I dislike EA and the extent to which the NFL has become overtly political, I still would have been willing to buy Madden for the Switch, assuming it wasn't a second-rate throw-away port.
@Tasuki lose lose than. I don’t care to buy multiple console. Wasted money in my opinion. There were days when we didn’t have to get multiple console because the publishers and devs made games for all console for all gamers. I personally just refuse to buy multiple consoles. Especially for one or two games. Hopefully things change in the future.
