@electrolite77 For one, the color pallet looks pretty basic and dull in LM3 so far. The atmosphere LM gave off was a dark yet cartoony vibe that stuck around through the entire game. I'm waiting until we see more for a final opinion on how it looks. just my first thoughts
I genuinely think both Luigi's Mansion games are equally good. Partially because they're actually different from each other in signficant ways. One is a replayable exploration game and the other is a longer form, mission based game with multiplayer. It's like Portal 1 vs. 2 in a way. (though Dark Moon would've been the superior LM game if it was the Portal 2 to Luigi's Mansion's Portal 1, so that isn't a perfect comparison either)
3 honestly looks a bit like a combination of the two games in some ways so far.
I like the way the hotel looks behind the logo. Looks perfectly set up to have separate distinct areas, and likely bosses for them too. The jewel on top reminds me of the King Boo's gem too. Maybe they'll tie a connection between them or maybe even the Dark Moon.
When I look back at the first game, one thing that will always get me is the design of luigi compared to one of his party appearances made it look so odd. I am excited to replay both games on 3DS before the 3rd. I will say dark moon gave better character to luigi in the cutscenes and little things. Also I will always love the sound toad makes when he walks with you

Luigi’s Mansion I feel has always been the horror movie parody than the horror movie. Granted, the original tried more for this before the cut content. One thing I am excited for is that they may bring more characters, peach was already spotted. I hope we see the cast of sports party regulars trapped in the hotel to find, instead of just the 5 major characters (Luigi, E. Gadd, Mario, Toad, King Boo)

I think I’m gonna try the two Luigi Mansion games before this one comes out. I had a GameCube but never tried out the original so I’ll probably try them both on the 3ds.
Is Dark Moon actually a bad game? I’ve heard a lot of negative opinions on it and want to know if it’s worth checking out.
@-Green- It's actually pretty good from what I remember, the only bad part I think is that it's mission structure design, and not you can explore the whole mansion kind of thing...
Not bad, but I think it'll be better if you can explore the whole mansion instead of stuck in mission-like-structure.
It looks good, like the haunted hotel, if Luigi's Mansion was a open game like Mario's game, going from one area to the next vacuming ghosts it would give it a new perspective.
Now just to put eternal darkness on the online system and a new upgraded switch version.
@-Green- It's a great game... just so different from the original to the point where it didn't satisfy people wanting a sequel. The biggest issue in the game was the fact that there were no unique ghosts in the vein of the portrait ghosts acting as puzzles/minibosses, just the bosses at the end of levels. It's still definitely worth playing
As for this game, I'm feeling very cautious after the footage. The return to one huge building, signs that Mario and Peach are involved, and the new gameplay mechanics are all looking good, but the lack of confirmation of unique ghosts is still worrying me.
