We all love new IP and are always guaranteed new Zelda, Super Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros games, but I would also love to see sequels to these games on Switch. I'm not going to include Metroid or F-Zero because, let's face it, everyone wants those and no one has been quiet about it!
Zack & Wiki
Body Harvest
Eternal Darkness
Wave Race
1080°
Sin & Punishment
Psycho Pinball
Hybrid Heaven (it wasn't a great game but it always felt like it had so much potential)
Urban Chaos: Riot Response (not originally on a Nintendo system and 'not very Nintendo', but then neither was ZombiU)
Lufia
Secret of Mana
Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma
Suikoden
Ys
Man, I really wish Nintendo owned the IP for all of those Rare N64 games too... Jet Force Gemini, Blast Corps, Perfect Dark and Conker's Bad Fur Day to name a few.
What other games would people like to see sequels for?
and just btw, I might also go for a proper fire emblem rpg made by monolith, sort of a spin off. Given the current popularity of the franchise its actually not too far fetched
Not a chance Body Harvest will pop up, sold poorly and Rockstar/DMA are onto bigger and better things now.
In terms off less obvious games which people aren't talking about to me seem mostly the 3DS franchises like Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, Yo Kai Watch, Senran Kagura, Azure Striker Gunvolt etc.
The Lemmings IP is owned by Sony now, so sadly we won't see that on Switch.
I'd love to see Team 17 bring Worms to Switch. They haven't graced us with a Worms since Battle Islands on Wii. Converting one of the recent releases from PS4/XB1 would make a good eShop title.
It'd be great to see the spiritual Sensible Soccer sequel Sociable Soccer come across. Switch would seem the perfect place for it with 2 player matches using the Joycons!
As someone else has said, a new Advance Wars would be brilliant. I'd also really like a new Mario Golf that was closer to the GBA Advance Tour title. I really enjoyed the pseudo-RPG trappings in that.
I'd love to see a new Viewtiful Joe game. Especially one done in pure 2D, I believe the original games were all cel-shaded 3D graphics?
Finally, how about a proper left field suggestion that will NEVER happen? Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg!
I'd certainly love a new Custom Robo game!
And though it is a Mario (spinoff) game, as moose said, Strikers would be nice too.
And I haven't gotten around to trying the series myself, but a new Advance Wars would also be nice

The shout outs for Super Mario Strikers remind me that I really enjoyed that on GameCube. I never felt the Wii version was as good, personally.
How about a Switch version of the upcoming (for 3DS) Mario Sports Superstars? Combine it with Mario Sports Mix (Wii) for the ultimate Mario Sports title?
I'd love to see scrolling shoot-em-ups make a comeback.Back in the day,shoot-em-ups,platformers and arcade racers were my favourite genres and Hellfire is one of my all time favourite games so an official sequel to that would be just great.Silpheed 2 wouldn't go amiss either.
I'd love a new Outrun. The last one I played was Coast 2 Coast on my laptop a few years back.I really like the classic "reach checkpoint" style of racers.Or how about Road Rash Switch, kind of like Double Dash on 2 wheels, one in control of the bike and the other on the back taking care of knocking opponent off their bikes. Each character will have unique weapons and strengths and varying riding skills on different terrain so you'll need to Switch positions regularly to have any chance of winning. An E3 announcement of Diddy Kong Racing 2 would have me grinning like I've never grinned before and would single handedly make it the best E3 I've ever watched regardless of what came after.
Another game I'd love to see get a proper sequel and one that is perhaps likely to happen at some point is 3D Rayman.I don't really have much memories of the 3rd one, although I did own it,but Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast was just amazing. So full of ideas and some of the best boss battles I've ever played.I remember at the time thinking that it was one of the best games I'd ever played.I loved everything about it.Considering how good Legends is,I'm sure a new 3D one would be spectacular.A new classic 2D Castlevania would be superb too.I never actually played any Castlevania games until they arrived on Wii VC but was always familiar with the series.I couldn't get into the GBA/DS Metroidvania titles though.IV is good,Dracula X is alright but Rondo of Blood is amazing. The artstyle and music absolutely nails the gothic horror look.I was a big fan of Hammer Horror films and Scream comic (anyone remember that?) as a kid so Rondo of Blood was right up my street.I can only imagine how much I would have enjoyed it back in the day.So yeah a proper sequel to that would be an absolute treat.I have my doubts Bloodstained will turn out great,I hope I'm wrong.
I'd love to see a reboot of Solar Striker. It was a scrolling shmup released back on the Game Boy.
I mean, I could sort of understand why they haven't brought it back (whatever they could do with it gameplay wise would probably fit Star Fox just as well), but I have no idea why they never released the original on 3DS VC.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@rsbrowndog Billy Hatcher, yes! I felt like that was a game that was fun but could have been better than it was. Would love to see a sequel that improved upon the original.
@Tsurii I still think that Nintendo should give the third person formula another go for Metroid, but maybe make it an over the shoulder type game, like Uncharted or Splatoon. Think that would be pretty cool for Metroid.
Captain Toad needs a sequel! A tiny game, but still one of the best on the Wii U in my opinion. I want a new puzzle-box adventure adding new features and enemies.
Well in general I prefer unorthodox ideas for sequels to popular games (the less popular games are usually less popular for a reason), but I wouldn't mind seeing Mario Strikers and Captain Toad again on the Switch.
I'd love to see an Speedball 2 sequel done right. One or two attempts have been made in the past but don't seem to have gone down well (never tried them personally). But Switch would be great for some portable 1v1. Have some online leagues and cups. Would be awesome.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
