I was just browsing Nintendo Japan's release schedule and came across the wonderful news that Japan will be getting a physical release with English support. That doesn't guarantee North America or Europe will get a physical release. But hey, at least copies will exist.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,322 games (as of November 7th, 2024)

I hope we get a physical release. Klonoa on Wii is one of my favorite 2D platformers, and the one GBA game I've played is not too far away from that level.
I will say, I've heard conflicting information on how new these versions are. I thought these were just the Wii and PS2 versions respectively, and I'm assuming they are (maybe just remastered to some degree) until I hear otherwise. Regardless Klonoa 1 is brilliant and I've heard 2 is also brilliant so I'm excited. And I hope for once people actually buy Klonoa, its such an awesome series. I feel like Kirby fans in particular would probably really love it (even though its a somewhat different type of platformer).
@kkslider5552000 Klonoa 1 looks to use upscaled models of the Wii version for the environments and the characters are 3D as well, however they've been redesigned to more closely resemble their looks from the original. 2 looks like a pretty straightforward remaster.
I really hope the games have no bugs or glitches issues that lead to patches and another patches.
If I see some potential from the gameplay since I still thinking twice for 2.5 D platformer games, I will pick the PS5 version for the best version as possible.
No, most DLC would be objectively lesser/worse. This is more like going from Mario 3 to Mario World, but if they kept it on NES and also kept more Mario 3 things in.
Played the demo: Is it just me, or is Lunatea's veil a bit dissapointing? I mean, while the other game has a lovely artstyle and plays smoothly (Like on the Wii), Lunatea's veil has a less appealing artstyle and feels a bit stiff. Still want to play it someday but my initial reaction is that its a bit dissapointing.
