Topic: Issues with Switch charger

Hi,
I have the first revision of Nintendo Switch, bought from Amazon a month after its release.
Lately I have noticed that:
1. After fully charging it at the evening, the day or few days after I want to use it, the battery is 0%
2. The charger pins have black dots, and for the couple of last charging attempts, it caused "flash" when inserting the charger into the wall.
3. After bullet #2 when I tried to touch and Nintendo Switch near the power button, it shocked me (electricity) slightly.

Since then I was afraid to use it, especially in handheld mode.
Googling for the issue I have noticed the following article:
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/gaming/nintendo-switch-shock...

Any suggestions? Due to Covid I do not believe I could go out and try to fix it in some lab/shop, and I think my warranty was only for one year? So what are my alternatives? I have a game I bought recently that I cannot play and good games are going to be released next month.

Should I just buy a new Switch with the newer revision hoping the issue wont repeat itself and is already fixed with the new hardware and battery?
This is especially a hard decision due to recent rumors about Switch Pro that could be released this year.

Thanks.

Have you checked with Nintendo support about this? Their help page is a reliable site to use. Also you should first use the Switch Dock first to verify the problem of charging.
