Topic: I need some help with a third party controller

Hey so I'm trying to use a pro controller on my Lite, it's a third-party wired one. The home button lights up for a bit, then turns off and the controller can't be used. I'm using an adapter with my Switch Lite and it's very frustrating! Like my Lite isn't giving it enough power. I have 2 adapters and none of them are working!

@rokoPM Last month Switch system update 12.0.0 or 12.0.1 messed with thrid party controllers. Someone here said they resolved it by doing the following:

Open Switch Settings/Controllers and Sensors/Disconnect Controllers

That "disconnect controllers" function will clear paired controllers from Switch memory. After performing that, you should be able to pair your third party controller wirelessly like normal.

(If that didn't do it, try pairing the controller while plugged into the console. This would be the next troubleshooting step.)

If you want to see the thread, read BizGal's entries to see them explain the solution: https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch/anyone_el...

@WoomyNNYes Hey so the issue is it's a purely wired controller, it doesn't have a Bluetooth function, I also haven't really synced any new controllers to the switch since I bought it so. I tried this step and it did not work. It's like my Lite does not want to connect to it, it just turns off after 4 seconds

@rokoPM If it's a third party controller made to be used with the Switch, I can only think of one other thing to check. In Switch settings/Controllers and Sensors there is setting: Pro Controller Wired Communication - on/off. Make sure that's on.

Otherwise, controllers for other systems, like playstation & xbox, can be used, if you have an adapter. This allows wireless & wired. Example: https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-...

I found a video showing types of controllers that can be connected to the Switch Lite. I pasted the video to start playing at "USB Controller". They cover a few more options after that too at 6:24. The video may not cover every possible controller, but it covers a bunch, maybe it can help.
