So I sent mine off to be repaired last Tuesday, using Royal Mail 48, so they would have got them Thursday. Just got them back now. That's really not too shabby if you allow for the fact that they probably don't work weekends.

@G0dlike i stumbled across this thread because ive been without joy cons for 8 weeks. Awaiting parts, no information as to when ill be getting them back despite numerous calls/emails. Can i ask what they said was wrong with your joycons. Wondered why it was so quick?

They were desynchronising all the time. The official repair letter said that they have fixed an issue with the left blue Joy Con. @ApuChunk

8 weeks is frankly disgusting. I hope you get them back soon.

I got fed up at 4 weeks and asked for them to returned still faulty. Been playing Mario Kart with the Joycon still hiccuping from time to time but I honestly can cope with it.

I know it seems counterproductive to get them back still faulty, I will send them for repairs again (once I've bought another set), but Nintendo really are joking around here.

How can one customer get theirs back within a week and some wait months?

I honestly don't get it.

Thats what I thought. Calling them again today. I think they must be breaking some kind of law. Their website promises a 6-7 day turnaround with no disclaimer. Why on earth they cant just send me a new pair is beyond me.

Right after a fashion im getting a new grey pair sent to me(mine are neon and thats the reason for the long wait im guessing). When the neon ones are fixed ill get those back too and pretty sure i get to keep the grey ones. After this long id say its the least i deserve.

I'd say! Well done. If it helps, my Joy Cons that came back extremely quickly with a lovely letter from Nintendo saying they've been heavily tested and the defects addressed, well, they still have exactly the same issues that they had before I sent them. @ApuChunk

Today i got the message that the repair team got my left grey joy con. The email also mentioned that it takes a week to get repaired. I hope its true because it will hurt looking at the arms cover from today on.

I sent my left one away when I was having the desync issue, got it back in less than a week and it works perfectly. I hope everyone gets their issue resolved soon!

If you don't mind me asking, what colour/color Joycon did you send to be repaired?
I'm wondering if the ridiculous wait for some of us is down to colour/color. Probably a long shot but you never know.

@Joytendo22 I'm guessing that's what they're doing.
It seems to be difficult to find a Blue left Joycon and Red right Joycon in the wild.

The bundle that comes with Snipperclips has the colours flipped.

Purely speculation of course. With the lack of Switch consoles in stock at many retailers (here in the UK) I'm assuming there is insufficient Joycon to keep up with demand for sales or repairs.
