@BruceCM We have some Swedish auction sites, like Tradera. Will probably find it there. Bet it's a bit expensive wherever you look.

Hmm, not sure that sounds likely to be cheaper, so check around, @Quarth .... Let us know how it goes!

@BruceCM 300 SEK is 30,14 dollar or 25 pound. So for a CIB version, I think it's OK.

CIB .... ? Not just the game? Your money, anyway, if you're happy with that

@BruceCM Yeah, complete in box. The game + box + manual. I collect games, you know.

Hey guys, started playing final fantasy 7 last night on switch. Is there a way to create a quick save? I haven't been able to figure it out.

NintendoByNature

BruceCM

Um, nope, sorry, @NintendoByNature .... While you're on the world map, you can save at any time but in towns or dungeons, it's save-points only, I'm afraid

@BruceCM that stinks. Square released Save points on mana collection so I was hoping for the same with this. Oh well.

NintendoByNature

BruceCM

Yeah, I think they should really have added something, even just the old style quicksave that deleted itself when loaded, @NintendoByNature .... But there's the speed up option & a reasonable number of savepoints, generally!

@BruceCM for sure. After playing for almost 2 hours save spots are acrually frequent so its not too bad. But it wouldve been nice to have.

NintendoByNature

Quarth

Yeah, the save spots are pretty generous in FFVII.

Playing FFVIII and it's pretty great so far, though the Junction system is a little bit too complex for my taste. Needing a GF attached to be able to use the menu (Draw, Magic, Items) in battles is annoying. But on the other hand there seems to be at least one GF per character so far.

&, I think, those are all in the same places they always were, @NintendoByNature ..... Still, there are times where it'd be nice to be able to quicksave in some towns/ dungeons, etc
It's quite easy to break that game with junctions, @Quarth & there's certainly plenty of GFs in the game but I'm glad they didn't repeat the system

@Quarth

The number of GFs is significantly higher than the number of characters, so that's not a problem over the longer term.

Aside from leveling up your characters and buying/getting new equipment and potions, Should I be doing other things or leveling up anything else? I don't want to get to a point in the game where I'm 15-20 hours in and realize there was something i should have been doing the whole time that i wasn't. The materia thing for instance, I think i equipped it, but I recall an Npc saying it dont use it too much or something to that nature. Do I need to level up magic or materia?

NintendoByNature

NintendoByNature

@BruceCM for sure.
@Eel then either i got duped by an npc who told me not to use it too much or I misread it 😛. Thanks.

@NintendoByNature

The other main thing you should be doing in early FF7 is trying to steal from as many enemies as possible. There are lots of enemies that carry more advanced weapons than are normally available at that point.
