Topic: Favourite new Pokemon

My personal favourite new Pokemon is Orbeetle. On paper it does not have much hp and only 505 stats on average for being a 3rd evolution Pokemon. In reality it has nutty defence and special defence which is really balanced + Bug Buzz and Psychic with a high speed and special attack. The reason Orbeetle truly stands out though is it has Reflect and Light Screen. Now most people do not know Light Screen and Reflect, halve all damage you take from special attacks and attacks for 5 turns, which you can extend with Light Clay to 8 turns. If Orbeetle gets knocked out your next Pokemons defence and special defence will be doubled.

My lvl51 Orbeetle has 150 special def and 151 defense.

So what is your guys favourite new Pokemon?

I think my favourite is Appletun. I don't have a good reason for that like you do, I just think it looks funny.

Grimmsnarl, Mr Rime and Duraludon are arguably the best though, as all 3 of them can learn Reflect, Light Screen and Brick Break; which is all you need to know to wreck all your mates Pokemon and anyone who does not know what they are doing. Brick Break destroys Reflect and Light Screen, and it is only necessary if your opponent knows what they are doing...

With current balance Reflect and Light Screen are the best 2 moves in the game! Mr Rime might be the strongest Pokemon in the game atm with Reflect, Light Screen and Screen Cleaner + Psychic Ice is really good! Can Orbeetle compete with other Pokemon in the same category as it for the Reflect, Light Screen spot? I mean Frosmoth can learn Aurora Veil, Light Screen, Reflect, Defog and Tail Wind... Stack Aurora Veil with Reflect and Light Screen and your opponent is going to be doing 17% damage, unfortunately they do not stack.
