On the same Switch console, if I open my admin profile, I can't see my son's profile. If i open his profile, I can see me as admin/Parent.
Similar problem if I login to my account on PC.
How do I give him access to the family online membership? If I have to create another account, he loses all his saved data.
In his account settings, I can't find any link to join a family group.
Thank you for replying, however if you try to add him as a member (under 12 years old), you have to create a new user ID. It won't accept his current user ID. I can't email him an invite as he is a supervised account with no email address.
@glabrescens This might answer your question? With a family account, each user requires a unique email address. (Which is a pain if you have kids too young for email)
I'm not clear if you're on separate consoles, or were sharing a console originally. It is true Animal Crossing New Horizons' game progress, (Splatoon 2 progress also), cannot be transferred to another console.
Thank you for replying. My understanding is once a supervised account is created, it can't be changed to an adult account, with an email address and login. This is on the same (shared) console, so I can't transfer game progress.
I just don't understand why I can view myself as a family member under his profile, but I can't view him under my profile. I mustn't of linked him originally when I created his user profile, is the only thing I can think of.
@glabrescens I have two accounts. Under family group, in both accounts, see my original account as admin, and then the second account under it. Although, since these are both me, I never set as the second account supervised. I'm not sure what you'd see if a family member is setup as supervised.
