With E3 right around the corner I’m getting pretty excited as to what’s going to be announced, so I’m compiling a wish list as to what I want to see and I’d like to see what everyone else is hoping for...heads up I’m a sucker for remasters and ports on the switch so there will be a lot.

Square enix:
Parasite eve 1/2
Final fantasy 1-6
Chrono Trigger
Front mission 3
Kingdom hearts the story so far

Capcom:
RE 2 and 3
Dino Crisis 1 and 2
Tatsunoko vs capcom
MVC1/2
a new RE exclusive to switch
More mega man please

Bandai namco:
Tekken 7
Db kakarot
Tales of abyss/xillia/graces/symphonia
Xenosaga

Sega/Altus
Sonic adventure 1/2
Crazy taxi
Samba de amigo
Jet set radio
A new knights entry
Persona 1-4
Rule of roses

Nintendo:
A back to basics star fox
N64 online app with golden eye, star fox 64,Pokémon stadium
New Mario kart
Rare replay with dk64
Zelda 3D all stars

There’s tons of more I’d want that I can’t think of off the top of my head

I'm always hoping DQX gets a western release. Switch ports for MGS: Peacewalker, Radiant Silvergun, and Dragon's Crown would be nice. Maybe some deets on RE Switch perhaps. And MP Trilogy, always MP Trilogy, because the moment Nintendo gives us that...then we'll know MP4 is less than a year away.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

All i want is some Zelda news

VoidofLight

@Anti-Matter EA confirmed they aren't going to be at e3.

"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."

VoidofLight

What I want: BotW 2. That's all. Not expecting anything else, and it'll be a pleasant surprise to see new games as I have little to no expectations.

@VoidofLight
Ow, okay.
I think EA will have their own presentation about The Sims games.

If by "wish list" you mean pie in the sky predictions, here's what I'm thinking:

-The Switch Pro is revealed for Holiday 2021.
-BotW2 is fully revealed with its name and gameplay and releases alongside the Switch Pro.
-Mario Kart 9 is announced and also releases in Q4 2021.
-Splatoon 3 is given a new trailer that showcases that the game is bigger and better, with a battle royale mode and a more open single player campaign.
-A new 2D Metroid game is revealed and releases in the second half of the year.
-Prime 4 gets another teaser trailer, but no gameplay is shown.
-A new 3D Kirby game is announced for early 2022.
-Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl receives a new trailer detailing new gameplay elements.
-Pokemon Legends Arceus is also given a new trailer showing the leaked riding mechanics.
-A 3D Zelda collection including OoT and MM is revealed, and WWHD and TPHD are ported to the Switch.
-Nintendo Switch Online sees new systems added to its lineup with the GB, GBC, and N64, with GBA and GC coming later.
-A teaser for Odyssey 2 is shown as a "one more thing" and given a 2022 release date

Then Treehouse covers the following games:
-BotW2
-Splatoon 3
-Mario Kart 9
-Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl
-Pokemon Legends Arceus
-3D Kirby
-2D Metroid

I'm not so sure on that, Ninty released Bayonetta 1&2 in 2018 which was after Bayonetta 3 was announced yet Bayonetta 3 is still not released yet.

What I hope to see is enough Wii U ports and VC brought back in such a way that my Wii U can be put into storage. I like how when I finally manage to get a Series X it'll completely replace my XB1 and that's what I've been hoping to eventually happen regarding Wii U to Switch since the January 2018 Direct Mini made it very clear Nintendo were going all in on Wii U ports.

That way I'd swap my Wii U out for my Xbox 360 as it's a lot more likely that Nintendo renders the Wii U useless than Microsoft adding the remaining OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games I care about to XB1 backwards compatibility.

With new games I just hope for a surprise.

For existing games? I'd love to see more of Nintendo's retro library return, particularly Nintendo 64 and Gamecube games, but also the older Pokemon games (Gens 1 to 3) and some of the key missing SNES games (Earthbound, Super Mario RPG). I'd also welcome ports from the 7th and 8th generations.

At least 2'8".

A wish list... I'll make one now, and I'll make another one before E3 itself, for the sake of comparison.

Nintendo

  • Zelda 3D Collection with Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker, priced at $60.
  • Name reveal and gameplay trailer for the Breath of the Wild sequel.
  • Any update on Metroid Prime 4, even another teaser with an announcement coming next year will satisfy me.
  • A new Mario Kart game, with an emphasis on sim-racing.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition with either a new landmass to explore, or an extra story chapter to explain the ending, as well as possibly setting up for a sequel.
  • A teaser or reveal for Monolithsoft's new untitled new IP.
  • Full reveals for both remaining Smash fighters, so we can finally move on!

Square

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake: Part 2, or similarly named. I expect it'll be something like FF7: Rebirth but either way goes.
  • A collection of Final Fantasy games from 1-6, releasing on all major platforms.
  • Kingdom Hearts games, or at least 1 and 2, releasing on Switch. They're PS2 games, and it's already abundantly clear that they can run just fine even remastered, just look at Final Fantasy X/X2.
  • A further gameplay/story trailer for Life is Strange: True Colours, plus another look at the Life is Strange Remastered Collection.
  • More info on Final Fantasy XVI.
  • Chrono Trigger remake?

Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Persona 4 Golden
Dragon Quest XI S
F1 23
Xenoblade Chronicles 2

@jump

I need to see a demo of the competitive mutliplayer portion of MP4 before passing judgement.

At least with the MP Trilogy I know what I'm getting.
