Topic: Duel Princess

I don't normally go for fan service/whatever you want to call this type games (mainly because most of them are crap, lol), but this one does interest me a bit. I'm just wondering, who got this, how much content? Ignoring that...one mode where you do stuff to the boss after defeating her, what other modes are there?

I've been hoping to find more games that are similar to Battle Cats (which recently got an English version on Switch, even though it's still not in the US or even EU, lol), seems like this game is like that but more card/deck building focused.

I also don't want to end up getting bored in minutes, because this seems to be more expensive than Battle Cats on Switch, and that can last a while.

Anyways yeah, who got this? Should I go for it? Why hasn't anyone done any reviews on it?! TwT

Just "first 45 minutes" stuff...the other walkthroughs seem to be just the main game, annoying censors everywhere...

Like, I just want some reviews...is there more to it than that? lol

Yeah I saw, but I was wondering how much content is there...it's a tower defense/card building game with some rogue-lite stuff to it. But if all it has is that one mode where you fight the boss and...cough do stuff (I don't even care about this part, lol) with her after defeating her...then I'm not going to bother.

@TheStardustWarrior I like Tower Defense, though...and it has similarities to The Battle Cats (ignoring the fanservice stuff anyways), I'm also fine with card/deck building games as well.

I....want something new? And again, this has similarities to Battle Cats, which makes me interested more.

That's a great question! I've done around a quarter of the princess's campaigns, and yeah... repetition is starting be front and center.

Without spoiling too much, each campaign has you fight only against 3 princesses. So 1 loop can be around 30-40 minutes depending where which campaign you're on. My biggest issue with this is how much lude you need to do in that 40 minutes. Honestly that was more of a repetitive chore than then actual TD game.

As for difficultly, it can be tricky early on. But, as this is a rogue like, every time you fail and quit you gain points to your "player level" which impacts the starting level of your units. So you can farm player levels to make your basic units really strong and then steamroll some battles. So from where I'm at, it's fun but I haven't been overly challenged yet.

So what you see is what you get I guess. Doesn't seem to be much depth gameplay wise and the main draw is probably the princess' themselves.

Well, repetitiveness is...fine I guess, Battle Cats is kinda the same thing, honestly. With you encountering a new boss unit every now and then. But yeah, if that mode is all there is, then....eh...

Eh, fanservice doesn't really bother me, I've played quite a few Senran Kagura games. lol (along with a couple of other games)

But yeah if there's not much else in this game then I'm not going to bother with it.
