With the reveal of the Nintendo Switch and knowing Dragon Quest X is being upgraded to it, I started a campaign to localize Dragon Quest X in the West. It started 3 weeks ago after hearing Noriyoshi Fujimoto from Square Enix say they would consider localization with enough fan support. He said this at a panel at PAX West for Dragon Quest VII.

I have taken it upon myself to honor Mr. Iwata by doing everything I can to bring Dragon Quest X overseas. Without him, we would never have had the original Dragon Quest localized and the series may have never made it outside Japan. He was the programmer that made that a reality. Right now, Square Enix Support is compiling all tickets submitted to them requesting DQX be localized. They will then be giving them directly to the devs! Here is the link to the Woodus forums (DQDragonsDen) with detailed instructions on how to proceed with the ticket and the link to Square Enix Support: http://www.woodus.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35101&hl=

I hope whether you are a DQ fan or looking into the series as a Nintendo fan that you help support the campaign to finally bring DQX to the West. This may be our only chance with Nintendo Switch around the corner! Even if you don't submit a ticket, honor Mr. Iwata and look at the series that he loved: Dragon Quest!

Thank you,

SomaQz
