New Dragon Quest Monsters game gameplay officially revealed!
I'm honestly so surprised it's releasing this early looking at square enix's track record!
Releasing December 1st 2023!

Dragon Quest Monsters, but you control the villain from Dragon Quest IV? Intriguing.

This is like the year of DQ it feels like. With Infinity Strash and a new monsters game plus X offline in Japan (dlc came out this year) it just feels to me like a good year.

@Ryu_Niiyama While I'm happy we're getting a new monsters game finally it's still scraps compared to how other Square Enix ips are being treated.
We really should've gotten an update on DQ3 remake and DQ12 a while ago.
I guess this can keep us preoccupied til then.

So this is DQ Monsters 3 in Japan, so should be a full fat game. Woo I am excited. Still wish I could play as a woman though.

Still no Dragon Quest X Offline for western folk, eh?

I enjoy anything DQ related, so I'll be there day-one for this.

Definitely thrilled about this one! I've wanted to try the Dragon Quest Monsters series for some time now, but 1. Not all games released over here, and 2. Many of the ones that did are pricey even secondhand (The first Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker price isn't too bad, but I've read the second is much better).

I was seriously considering picking up Treasures eventually since it allegedly started life as a DQM game, but I'll happily wait even longer.

As usual it's probably going to be up to the community for any kind of translation to release.
There were a ton of DQ spin offs that have been given fan translations thanks to dedicated fans.

Games seems to have dlc, probably free

Apparently the game's seasons change frequently and the monsters you can recruit change with them which is interesting.

I was so gung-ho for Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D (a remake of the original), I got the fan-translated English patch and everything.

DQ Treasures was cool, but it just didn't hit the same notes as a mainline Monsters game. It still has merit as its own standalone thing, but I want the mainline series.

And that's exactly what this is. Officially DQM3 in Japan. Not part of the "Joker" subseries. Not another un-numbered entry. This is canonical the 3rd mainline game. Give it to me now!

I already was hyped for the game when solo appeared at the end but when I read that the character we’re playing as is psaro I immediately want the game. Dragon quest 4 is so freaking good that I will gladly double dip for a switch port with the party chat feature. (I played the DS version)
