Topic: Doki Doki Literature Club Plus releases june 30th

I loved this game when i played it on PC and i'm so hyped a remastered version with new content is releasing on Switch(i usually don't play games on PC or visual novels,but i had to make an exception for this).

Huh. Didn’t this game kind of rely on the fact it was on pc for a few of the scares?

I'm so getting this game. I wouldn't say Visual Novels are my number one game genre but this game gave me enough of an impression from the psychological horror elements that I'm very excited to see the new stuff. I haven't even played it on PC so... bring it.

I would totally get it, its just, I have watched it already so there is no real point, the extra stuff is there If I cared, but then there is also the fact that I just can't really take scary games like this, psychological horror Is a weakness of mine and I'm messed up after playing one, Let alone watching this game messed me up for a month at the least, Its a issue I don't think I will ever overcome and its sad bc I love the story of games like this but i'm just messed up for a long time.

Not into this type of game (visual novel or horror, lol), but I watched let's plays of it...I like the characters. Anyways I may still not bother with it, but I'm also curious on how they'll handle the PC file...stuff. lol

My kind of game, love visual novels and this is one of the most interesting I’ve heard about recently.

I mean, I'm not typically big on VNs, I don't really consider them video games (they have all of the interactivity of clicking through dialogue). But I saw a Game Grumps playthrough of this one and the story has some pretty jaw dropping plot twists so I did want this to come to Switch if possible.

I do have to warn anyone who wants to see this story. It is EXTREMELY disturbing and will mentally scar you for life. You will get Vietnam War flashbacks of this game. If you get triggered easily, stay away from it. But the story is such a wild ride and the ending really makes me think, so if you can put up with some disturbing stuff it's worth experiencing.

I really have to wonder how they'll handle deleting Monika's chr file from the game since you really can't manipulate game files on consoles the same way you can on PC That was the main reason I questioned whether or not it would ever come to Switch, or any console really.

I get jumpscared all the time with non-horror games. lol

The console versions have a fake PC interface.

Ah. Well that kinda removes some of the appeal, but I guess it had to be done like that.

To be fair. Adding a fake pc interface opens the opportunity to add a whole bunch of cool things, like little actual apps and easter eggs.

Playing it as we speak. Has to be one of the strangest games I’ve ever played. Very different.
