I remember being interested in this when it was first announced & then not hearing about it for awhile, so I'm glad to see it's almost here. Probably won't get it soon-ish, but I'll keep an eye on it.
I've found one review of it so far, that admits it's rough as a game, but argues it's one of the most culturally significant games to release this year, and as a work of art it's important that you play it regardless of it's shortcomings as a game. It's a review for the PS4 version, but they do touch upon Switch performance.
With a metacritic score average of 61, early reviews suggest that this game will be awesomely bad. It looks as though performance on Switch is rough. Some glitches, archaic gameplay, etc. But hey, if awesomely-bad games like Deadly Premonition still deliver some degree of entertainment, I won't pass judgement too quickly.
I look forward to my order of the LE arriving next week.

I like the concept so picked up the demo. The game does indeed seem to run quite poorly on the Switch, but it's not unplayable. The game generally feels very unpolished and like a C-tier title...but I still think the premise is good enough to draw me in, just not a full price. I will certainly give this more of a go when it's on sale - and I might do some research into whether getting the PS4 or PC version is preferable.
In the mean time I've managed to pick up the original game, which was released as "SOS The Final Escape" in the UK.
I've played and enjoyed the old ones, and I was looking forward to this, but I think that boat might've sailed. Maybe if I get the while it's on sale someday...
Got my order for the LE today and fired the game up for half an hour. The port is a little rough. Frame dips, loads of pop-in, sluggish camera, etc. But I've experienced worse ports on Switch. I've never played a game in this series before, but I also can't remember the last third-person adventure-morality game I played like this.
