I will more than likely get this and I can already feel the rage building haha!!
That's because you're not a hardcore gamer like me. I beat Cuphead with one hand on Xbox One, and when I get it on Switch I'll play it with the Labo card board piano while riding a roller coaster backwards.
I'm not generally a boss battles kinda guy. But what I am is an appreciator of the art of animation in video game form and so by default I'll probably Day 1 the physical release.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I'll get it at some point, will probably wait for the physical and compare prices and inclusions.

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!
It intrigues me, but I've heard that it turns out to be a really frustrating game and I really don't like being frustrated so I may have to skip out on it even though I'd like to try. =(
I'm on the fence as well. I absolutely love the art style, but I primarily play games to relax. I like having some challenge, but is this the frustrating, throw-your-controller kind?
Currently playing: Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind (Switch)
I think people exaggerate the difficulty in this game, it can be challenging, but I haven't smashed my controller or anything. Think of it like Monster Hunter.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'm not too worried about the difficulty of the game ( mind you I've never played it) as long as there's checkpoints that you can hop back pretty quickly to where you left off. It's games like hollow knight that i find beyond difficult. There's fair difficult and unfair difficult in my mind. In my opinion, games like dkctf and shovel knight had perfectly fair difficulties. Very hard platforming at times but if you died, you can pretty much go right back in where you left off ( or close to) and give it a shot again. Can anyone who played this confirm what type of difficulty the game Is? Secondly, I saw there's an overworld like SMW so is it pretty linear or do you have to figure out where to go next? Keep in mind i know nothing of the game other it's praised everywhere, was on Xbox, and had almost no chance of being on a Nintendo platform so I prepurchased it day 1.
@nintendobynature No checkpoints, but the bosses and stages are pretty quick to beat, assuming you know what you're doing and you don't get hit too much. I will tell you though, it gets satisfying once you beat them! You might wanna try out co-op mode for a slightly easier time, as you only fail the stage/boss fight if both players are dead.

@subpopz very good my friend. Sounds like it's right up my alley. I grew up during the nes days so I'm super pumped for this one. Glad you can jump right back into the boss fights. That's the perfect way to develope a game imo
i would love to see a future update, where you can fight Bowser, Ganondorf and other Nintendo Main Antagonists.
