Hi, im trying to connect my nintendo console to TV without Docking station. I bought a usb-c to HDMI Cabel and tried to connect it like that, but unfortenatelly it doesnt work. Im sure that cabel works properly, i checked it with my laptop and it shows screen properly. So maybe someone had similiar issue and know the solution? Thanks in advance.
It doesn't work that way. It requires the Dock to output the signal through the HDMI to TV input. Sounds like your trying to use a Lite to TV and that isn't what it's made for. Either use the Switch that Docks to output or use handheld those are you choices.
@Tasuki Im talking about switch oled not lite, but i assume it still wont work I read on some other forum that it should work but tere wasnt any other confirmation about it

A simple USB-C to HDMI cable won't work because the Switch Dock actually has some internals to allow video output AND power input, and things like USB connections.
There are third party docks, some of which are compact and contain the whole dock internals inside of the HDMI connector or a power socket.
A while ago . . . I read that it was safer to use the Nintendo Dock. Something about the 3rd Party messing up or bricking a Switch. So . . . I would suggest do your homework.
For me . . . I went ahead and tried this one . . .
And it works for me. And we've been using it for a while now.
The trick is . . . don't use a Nintendo power adapter to power the USB-C to HDMI adapter. I just use the power charger from my phone to power the adapter.
I originally picked this up so that I didn't have to unhook the Nintendo Dock from our TV everytime my daughters wanted to take the Switch to a friend's house. Now we have this dongle that they can take instead.
I'm planning on picking up another one to leave plugged into our other TV.
@NintendoDad From memory that was mostly due to early 3rd party docks not implementing the USB-C standard correctly and AFAIK isn't much of an issue now. I'd obviously still stay away from cheap no-name tat and stick to the more reputable 3rd party brands - the old adage of "You get what you pay for" exists for a reason.
+1. Yeah. I took a gamble on this one. But it seems to be working. (Knock on wood.) I got this one, because it would also let me plug my cellphone into the TV as well (For streaming movies / YouTube). So one connection for either our Switch or my phone.
