@SamRichards90 Why would Activision put effort into making a game on Switch when they can just release another version of the same game on PS4 and Xbone and call it a day? 80% of the game is already done for those systems, all they do is throw together a new campaign, reskin some assets, get some new voice work and call it good.
With the Switch they actually have to make a new game or put real effort into a port. :/

Would buy a COD game on Switch on release day just to have a decent online FPS.
they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.
It's crazy that the Wii got most of the games during its lifespan.
Even crazier was that the DS got CoD games (and damn good ones at that, with online multiplayer to boot) tailor made for the system. Six of them, if memory serves. And yet the 3DS got nothing...
I for one am not fussed. CoD are as generic as FPSes get (Sniper Elite aside), but I am sympathetic to the fans.
i think there is a lot of people out there that enjoys COD including myself i was disappointed my self when it was announced on all platforms apart from switch.😥😥 its bad that there even bring a COd to mobile platforms too nintendo switch people are always left out of the fun 😡😡.

@Knighty_IX : I only have World at War. I hadn't completed it, so I didn't grab any of the other games, though I was tempted (especially Black Ops). Too much to play, too little time. But to give credit where credit is due, the DS games were grossly underrated. Even Activision had never given them the attention they deserved.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I’m pretty sure most of us would be more than happy to have the Modern Warfare remaster. It would be a total Activision move to reboot this series on Xbox and PS4 and give Switch the 12 year old game. But better than nothing.
@DTMOF84 I'd rather have the 12 year old game. That was the last COD I really really liked. World at War and Modern Warefare 2 were still fun, but after that, the series died for me.

Well, it shouldn't be a surprise. While the switch have gotten third-party support, not all companies have jumped on board. If shooters and big open world games are your jam, switch isn't the best choice of console.
Personally I feel switch is a good secondary console to a gaming PC. PC has most genres, more than consoles do. But certain game types works better on console, such as platformers and anything local multiplayer.
The most disappointing thing about switch in my opinion. I mean I’m a big COD fan and not having a proper entry in switch really is mind blowing. I think the install base has shown they would gravitate to an entry. I would take a PS360 straight port at this point. It’s so silly.
At this point now I’d be happy getting the CoD Mobile ported to Switch. It’s not bad on iPhone honestly. I don’t see why it would t work here. They’re working on controller support so we wouldn’t have an unfair advantage if it was cross platform to mobile. Thoughts?
I just want zombies with all the maps on the switch, and being able to play online with that would be amazing. In the meantime, I don't do much mobile gaming, but apparently cod mobile is getting a zombie mode and I got black ops zombies on it so I am alright for the time being. (Nay I don't own other consoles atm to play zombies)
@DTMOF84 same. And what I like about call of duty mobile is the maps they chose. I'd be very happy with this as my modern warfare option. And then a second version with ww2 maps as my old school version.
I see this topic has come up again. While I would like to see a COD on Switch as well, I don't see it happening. Activision would have to make the game from the ground up or port one of the older releases for it to run as well as an FPS would need to on Switch. Activision is to lazy to build a whole new game for the Switch and many people would not be happy with, even a very good port of an old COD game.
Personally I would love a port of COD 4. Doesn't even have to be a remaster, just a port, optimized to run very well, with all the maps. Maybe throw in a new Zombie mode too.
But most COD players seem to want the newest release and Activision is happy to reskin and drop a "new" game on PS4 and Xbone every year. Very little work, but very profitable.

@Heavyarms55 looks like you missed my reference to the mobile game. Thats what brought the topic up again. The mobile game is running pretty well. We have the mobile version of Fortnite and people like that. I don't see why this wouldn't be an option at some point.
@DTMOF84 It's not impossible, but I have no real interest in a mobile game personally. Half the time I see mention of "mobile game" and mentally just switch off.
Though in this case, you're right, I didn't notice you mentioning that. Sorry. Still doubt that Activision is willing to put in the effort to bring even that to Switch.
