Hi All,

So this game is getting torched from reviews for Switch. I picked it up and so far it’s really good. The atmosphere is spot on, yes, hijacked from arguably my favorite game Bioshock as reviewers mention. These days? What games don’t take from another, it’s normal.

Yes, the framerate drops suddenly from time to time but if you’re not super picky and “open” to games you’ll enjoy it. Unless Bioshock ever gets ported to Switch, I’ll hold onto my PS4 collection copy and consider this my Bioshock of Switch, minus the FPS element that I miss but it’s still good.

Anyone that loves Bioshock should try this. Don’t let reviews get in your head. 😉

Decided to take a break from Katana Kami and fired this up for the first time. My lord, we've seen some rough Switch ports like Blacksad, ARK Survival Evolved, and Xenon Racer. I'd argue Close To The Sun doesn't fair very well either. Non-stop texture loading, frame dips, it's an ugly mess of a port.

However, the game isn't a complete waste of time. The setting, story, characters, and voicework are all quite good. I've played through chapter three and I'm compelled enough to play further. If this goes on a deep discount, say...$5, I think you'd get your money's worth.
