No official announcement of it coming to Switch yet. But I think this is an excellent sign, of the possibility, that it'll happen soon. Battle speed 1.5x, 21:9 support, yadda yadda yadda. Just uploaded by Square-Enix today.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,322 games (as of November 7th, 2024)

Cool, hopefully this shapes up as a polished release.
The UI having clean fonts in Japanese looks fine, but Square Enix have a repeat issue of picking bad fonts for the international releases, like with their recent Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters.
@StarPoint It won't be a big deal until it's officially announced as "coming to Nintendo Switch" from either Square-Enix or Nintendo themselves. Right now, this is just a touched up remaster coming to Steam/Smartphones. But it's receiving similar additions that other S-E Steam releases had received in the past. FFVII and FFVIII were ported to PC before they were ported to Switch.
This update should give fans, who've been hoping for a Switch port, positive vibes.
But nothing more...for now.

I doubt it will come to Switch, look at the Final Fantasy Remakes coming here soon. Mobile and Steam. I sware these companies make it more and more tempting to get a Steamdeck instead of a Switch.

So is this another port or just another update for the already existing PC version of Chrono Trigger? I assume the latter but would not be entirely shocked if they actually made people buy it again.
@Tasuki
Im definitely hoping those FF games make it to switch sometime in the future.
I can see quite a few of their newer releases missing the switch but am happy that some of their legacy content is making its way to the system and would love to see the older FFs on switch.
