I purchased the online version of EA SPORTS FC™ 24 and deleted all games on my Nintendo switch due to the size of this game, but there is not enough memory available on the Switch and I don't know why I just can't download directly on a SD card using my Switch. Please help!!

How much free space is available on your sd card? System Settings > Data Management

Seems the file size is north of 31GB.

"Game requires a download of at least 31 GB via an Internet connection."

Could very well be a bit more than 31GB if the game has been post-patched (updated) since launch.

Good point, @Magician. Maybe that's the issue.

@_ashok When a micro SD card is inserted, that is where all new game downloads will be saved. You can only save a downloaded game to switch internal storage if the micro SD card is removed.

So, you have to make sure you have enough space on your micro SD card.

This assumes you bought a legitmate micro SD card. Stay away from fake, counterfeit cards sold on amazon, etc.. Cards sold at too-good-to-be-true prices are bogus, counterfeit. When inserted, they will display the advertised storage capacity, but in reality, their capacity can be significantly smaller, such as half the capacity, or much much less than half the advertised capacity; The switch will say you don't have enough space. (Disregard if you know your card is legitimate. Every once in a while, someone new here doesn't know about counterfeit cards & avoiding them.)

Otherwise, I'm not sure what your problem could be. Nintendo's support website is a good place to search for troubleshooting.

Thanks guys for your opinion. It got my mind working, and this is what happened: the problem was indeed an SD Card malfunction: I changed the SD Card and made sure to get a one with fast read/write rates and then I managed to download the file. I used a Samsung EVO 128GB card with "U3" specification.

@_ashok Oh, good. Nice work!

Disregard if you know this already.
The switch hardware is limited to U1 speed class, but a U3 card works & is more future proof, in case you ever want repurpose that card for another device in the future. (I've used a U3 card in my switch, also.)

Card requirements listed under "Which microSD cards are supported?"
