We just bought a second switch so my wife and I no longer need to fight over who gets to play the switch, but we ran into a problem. My account was the primary account, all of the games were downloaded through it and she simply had an account on the switch for her saved game data. Now we have transferred her saved game data and account information but is there any way to transfer the digitally downloaded games that she played (and I do not play) to her new console?
@Mew Really the only game purchased digitally was stardew valley. I don't play it but I don't really want to make her switch the primary simply for the 1 game. I miss the old day of plugging your memory card and disk into any console and being able to play...
@caseybrunet like said its the only way and its a cheap game if you decide not to, you using your account on a secondary console has no ill effects unless there is some third user involved not mentioned here
@caseybrunet That's one reason I will always prefer physical copies over digital. Want to loan the game or take the game over to a friend's house not a problem with physical. With digital though you have to take your whole system or loan them the system.

@caseybrunet you should really contact Nintendo support on this question. No one on NintendoLife can help with this since it is locked to the account that bought the game.
