Topic: Cabela Game Gun not working right

Hi. Bought my husband the Cabela The Hunt for Christmas and we can’t seem to figure out how to align the gun properly. Basically in order to shoot straight we need to point the gun to the ground - which sort of makes it awkward and unrealistic to play. We are new to Nintendo Switch so maybe we are missing something? Thanks in advance

Are you using it in Portable or Dock mode? And using Joy-con charger setup or Pro controller? More on what setup is needed here and also did you first do a Game Update check before launching it. Also check your controller setups to insure they are aligned. Also update the Switch if it hasn't check for update firmware.

I got it day one and using the gun is near impossible. They even reviewed them on the site. It's not at all like the zapper or in the arcade. My best advice is to turn the sensitivity up all the way.

so how do you play? without the gun and just using the joy con?

@SwitchForce the game was docked and we were putting the joy con into the gun as instructed. updated as told to do when we started up the game. when i check for alignment should i be doing that with them installed in the gun?

Yeah it's just a lot less hassle to just play it like any other FPS on switch.
