Topic: Buying a post-fix joy-con

Nintendo recently revealed that they changed the factory process to ensure new joy-con will not have the de-sync issues (see https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/03/nintendo_fixes_the_l... )

If we are planning to buy a console and/or extra joy-con in the near future, how can we be sure to buy items made with the updated manufacturing process?

It would be nice to not be constantly waiting in fear of encountering the joy-con issue, and avoid the potential need to send the items back to Nintendo for a week.

We can be sure it will work, most of the problems can be fixed and they aren't going to make that many people who have the switch send it back. I wouldn't be worried at all.

@nobboysbro I know the issue can be fixed, and I'm sure they're not going to MAKE anyone send anything back, but if the joy-con provide anything less than perfect input, I will CHOOSE to send them back, and I want to avoid that.

Many people have had no problems with the joy-con connectivity, so as I said, I wouldn't worry too much.

I bought 3 pairs of Joycons, and 5 of them had no issues. The 6th did, so I contacted Nintendo and within 72 hours of making the phone call I had my joycon back in my hands and fixed. They emailed me an expidited 2-day shipping label, so I shipped out Monday 4pm, they received it Wednesday, fixed it Wednesday, shipped it back out Wednesday with overnight express shipping, and it was waiting on my porch Thursday when I got home from work.

So you probably won't have issues but even if you do... it's an easy, quick fix
