Topic: Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus

Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus is out on July 18th. This game looks gorgeous. The early (PC) reviews are mixed, but with the positive reviews being extremely positive, including a glowing 9.5/10 review.

What do people think? I'm looking forward to this game, though oddly at the time of writing 2 days before release the price of the game has not yet been shared and you can't preorder. If the price is reasonable I am definitely snagging it.

I always like a good platformer, and this looks like a good platformer. Maybe I'll get it.

I wouldn't call a 79 on Metacritic for the PC version and an 84 on OpenCritic mixed at all. Demo was also a blast. Just waiting to see how performance is on Switch...

@PikaPhantom Mixed in the sense that 6/10 and 9.5/10 are a wide range of scores when there are only a few scores. Since there aren't many reviews up yet it's hard to tell what it will end up as. I hadn't realized there was a demo. I do hope it runs well on Switch.

@FishyS It was a Steam Next Fest demo that may not be live anymore (and is only on Steam if it is), but the developers have said that if they'll try to jump through the hoops to put a console demo up after launch.

Has anyone started the game yet? Trying to get a read on how the Switch version runs and haven't been able to find much.

ooh, $20 on Switch. That's reasonable. Since there isn't any Switch demo currently I'll probably wait for a NintendoLife review though.

The game also totally came out a day earlier than they said it would ...did they just not want to deal with timezones? 😆

I’m excited it’s out early but also waiting for a review for performance before springing for it. Fingers crossed though!
