When I first got it, the battery lasted 2 hours. I turned up the brightness and noticed obviously a faster drain of the battery. So i turned it back to the original brightness but the battery life is still draining just as fast, if not faster, which is 30 minutes. I don't understand why.
The battery might have lost calibration and might think it's out of power when it still has a lot of power left. Try to keep using it till it actually shuts off and it might last longer than you expect. I had that issue with a Powerbook battery many years back and had to recalibrate it, but I don't know if there's a procedure to recalibrate on the Switch.
