They’re listed individually on the eshop though? If they are only in the trilogy, in waiting until the inevitable discount comes along to buy them.

Seems as though waiting for physical copies to drop to $20 was a good call.

@Grumblevolcano Yeah, I also checked and it seems the case. I was planning to get Arkham City for now, but if this is the case I won't be buying the trilogy until it has a good discount and it gets some patches.
Ugh. I was hoping with the eshop listings these could be purchased separately. I'd love Arkham Asylum and wouldn't be against buying Arkham City again despite owning a perfectly playable Wii U copy, but I could honestly do without Knight even ignoring the Switch performance issues.
Ah well. I probably will get this down the line, but only once it's WAY cheaper. (or wait until I actually build a decent gaming PC).

So, I got my physical copy today from Bestbuy today. Two things felt really wrong right away:
I got an error message saying that I couldn't redeem Nintendo points from the physical cartridge (I live in the states and I only have one account - this has never been an issue before). And secondly, Arkham Asylum wouldn't load whatsoever (my understanding is that the cartridge only contains that game and the other two need to be downloaded). So, am I the only one experiencing this? I feel like Asylum should be playable out the box or do I need to download the other two to even attempt to play any of them? It just sits on a blank screen and won't load. The others will load into a prompt asking you to download them. I feel like I'm going crazy.
@FettucciniAlf The first point has happened with other games before, for example all physical copies of Sonic Origins Plus were counted as Japan versions initially regarding points redemption and was fixed later on.
So I've decided to just wait. I'm sure they'll give this an Xmas discount in a few weeks so I'll hold out for that. Hate to beat a dead horse, but it's so frustrating that they're not sold individually. I would've bought asylum last night and played all day today.
@Zuljaras It had nothing to do with an internet connection. I did a hard reset and now Asylum is working just fine. Still not able to claim gold points but I guess we'll see.
@Grumblevolcano Yeah, I've seen similar errors but never one pertaining the country that I live in. I'm sure it'll get resolved soon. I'm just baffled that none of it seemed to work out of the box but oh well.
I hear if you buy physical, only Asylum comes on the cartridge. Does anybody know if the cartridge HAS to be in the console to play City as that's the only one of the 3 I'm really after and cba with cartridges?
@CaptainKristoff : Yes, because the cartridge spawns individual icons to launch each game (as opposed to the additional games being supplied as download codes).
