For a game coming this holiday on the Switch, I’m a bit worried there’s so little gameplay footage of it running on the system. But at least we know it’s coming. Unlike Hogwarts that seems to have vanished. I’m wondering if that’s been delayed until the next console.

Word round the campfire is that Arkham City + Arkham Knight is a 50GB download.

@JONOFTHEJONS I’m worried that nothing has been shown of this game.

@Magician that's a sizable one. I know it's 2 games, but will that be the biggest DL on switch? Revelations 2 was 28gb or so, I think doom eternal was 33gb.

@NintendoByNature Maybe. I'm not sure. File sizes are more @SKTTR sphere of knowledge than mine.

Google tells me it’s NBA 2K23 at 56.9GB.

What's up with reviews? Unless I missed it.

The eshop listings now have the file sizes up:

  • Arkham Asylum - 6.8GB
  • Arkham City - 11.9GB
  • Arkham Knight - 27.2GB

There's a youtuber 'nintendogalaxy' that has Switch videos up from Asylum and City, I am very happy with how they look.

Another person had a PS5/Switch comparison of Knight uploaded just about an hour ago....that game took a major hit wrt texture resolutions..there's a shot of the Batsignal over the city and...woof.

The idiots could've just made a "Return to Arkham" collection with both Asylum and City on the cartridge and forget about Knight. Resources REALLY bad spent!

Yeah. I'd honestly make the case that the first 2 Arkham games are the ones you'd most want to play on Switch, because they're just better games. Arkham Knight would only be for the ambition of a game like Arkham Knight being on a handheld. And if that version's not great, it just makes your collection more awkward.

I'd still find it hard to not recommend if the first 2 games are still good on it, because this would be a worthwhile collection even if Arkham Knight wasn't on it at all, but I don't necessarily blame people if a potentially bad port of the one game out of three turns them off of it.

Maybe ill just grab the first 2 games digitally. And then buy knight on my series s

@kkslider5552000 And luckily, the games can all be purchased separately so just ignoring Knight if it's just too much of a Switch mess right now is easy-peasy! I assume each one will be $20 too so there's no really saving money by purchasing all 3 as a bundle right away. Knight will more-than-likely be so much better on Switch II: The Switchening. I had enough fighting the game itself on PC

I watched switch ups performance review of knight. Its enough to make me only start with asylum first. Eventually, I'll move onto city.

City seems to be the best one performance wise. Asylum is mostly good, but there are frame drops when in combat. I’d be surprised if the games don’t get an update in a day or two.

@NintendoByNature I just looked at the eshop and it seems you can't get the games separately, it's all 3 or nothing.

@Grumblevolcano
They’re listed individually on the eshop though? If they are only in the trilogy, in waiting until the inevitable discount comes along to buy them.
