@UmniKnight Huh money? I thought we were talking about controls.
I say this because (at far to my knowledge) this is the first MOBA game to come to a console which (even though it has a touchscreen) has physical controls. It's hard to imagine a MOBA game suffering with physical controls if all I could do is imagine it plus there's some gamers that has never played a MOBA before so there's that.
But hey none of this probably matters to you since you're adamant about AOV failing with a traditional button scheme, if all of this still upsets you here's what you have to do.
You don't have to play the game!
Let the general gamers (which will be a lot since it's free and on the Switch OBVS) and the developers (which, as @SKTTR said, is about as big as League Of Legends, and its also running on a beta, so consumer trust and happiness is on the line) worry about the control problem.
Just sit back, relax, and don't let even with argument as abrasive as is control your stress. Find time for some breathing, get some walking done, eat fruits and vegetables, and maybe talk to your doctor for more advice. Stress isn't healthy for you!
Late Edit: I may have misquoted, I meant that your opinion on this game is so low that any counter-argument is walled off from you.
@Captain_Toad I am not adamant about it failing with a traditional button scheme, I just wonder if it's implementation will be work well enough, that's all really. Also SMITE and Psychonauts came before it.
I also don't like your condescending tone with this "Just sit back, relax, and don't ler even with argument as abrasive as is control your stress. Find time for some breathing, get some walking done, eat fruits and vegetables, and maybe talk to your doctor for more advice. Stress isn't healthy for you!"
As someone who has played plenty of mobas, I simply wanted to discuss things, that's all. But discussing here is next to impossible, I should've just ignored the topic.
I had no idea this game was so big. I guess it is quite the feather in Nintendo's cap then. Looking forward to playing now. The gameplay vids look interesting.

League of Legends has an active daily userbase of 27 million.
Arena of Valor has an active daily userbase of 55 million.
In comparison, Pokémon Go has an active daily userbase of 5 million (but it's also a game that you need to take out of your home).
Even the four active Supercell games (Clash of Clans, etc.) which Tencent owns 83% shares, has an active daily userbase of 100 million players.
Chinese gaming is going to impact the industry in full force. Tencent makes more profit than even Sony, Microsoft, and Google. Yeah, Tencent makes more profit than anyone else in the industry. Good for Nintendo to deal with them.
Question is, can they successfully launch Switch in China? With this game on deck, it seems they might try.
The game could do well here too though. Free to play, Switch is hot... it might not happen overnight but over the course of its lifespan there could be quite a few people who download it and get hooked

Since we're close to the release of the game's beta, I thought to revive this thread so we can discuss what to look forward to this game. After all, this is the first MOBA game to be released on a Nintendo home console.

Hey anyone played the beta yet? i Just tried it and it's really cool. Matches ara found in just a sec, there is no lag, controls are well implemented ( not as good as mouse and keyboard , but not bad at all!).
@Bliquid
Yeah that problem happens to me a lot but all you have to do is continue searching for a match. Eventually it lets you play.
The game plays exactly like LOL but for console. Its a great port thats for sure.
Only problem I see is that it needs a bit of optimising, like speeding load times and better transitioning between menus.

@Alber-san Because Tencent Games owns LoL developers.
Also, that's what the closed beta for: further improvements for the final version. From the videos I saw, the loading time is long, but that's to be expected for MOBA games as all players must load the game at the same time.

Has anyone who was part of the test gotten any update or idea on how close to a release this game is? I missed out on testing due to not having an EU account until like a week ago and didn't get to play.
