@GrailUK I've found exiting out of the game, closing it completely. Then re-booting the game up will allow my scores to register again. Worth a try before wiping your score.

@Lroy I'll try that first I think. How are you getting on?

I'm down for a 2 weeks Ikaruga.
1 week feels too short in most cases anyway, with life getting in the way and all... lol

But if enough people own it, we could at leadt do 1-week (or whatever is the date Ikaruga launches) challenge with GUNBIRD before that.
It's fantastic and easiet than most for newcomers..

@GrailUK Not put much time into TERRA CRESTA or any of the recent challenge games since MOON PATROL iirc. Gonna boot it up now and see if I can improve on my score 👍

Beat my high score in Steredenn yesterday and it looks like I juuuust passed a couple of couple of players from this group. Awesome fun "one more run" game if any of you haven't picked it up yet. I got a lucky seed and ended up with Fortress with homing missiles, stasis bot and shield breaker so I didn't have to worry about aiming, just dodging. On the topic of Ikaruga- I love Treasure and for some reason have never played it so yes a 2 week challenge sounds glorious.

@mauhlin12 I don't own Steredenn. I take it it's rather good?

@GrailUK It's really fun. Didn't think a randomly generated shmup would work but it's brilliantly designed. I'm pretty sure you'd like it.

Managed to marginally improve my TERRA CRESTA score. Into the 40s score wise and I'm about 52nd on the Leaderboards. Can see a few folks behind me and plenty in front of me.

@Mauhlin12 Congrats on STEREDENN score. Just sneaked past me. My score was a total fluke and I've not got near it since ☺️

I noticed Steredenn is on Xbox Game Pass so I will try it tonight and see if it's worth a purchase on Switch.
Lately all I do on Xbox/PS4 is use it as a demo station to try Switch games on my wishlist lol
Tho when as Yakuza 0 and Shadow of the Colossus are at €15 and Monster Hunter World hits €20 I'll be there

There are three clutch plays. The third one is worth 'suicide farming'. I'll try to get a capture.

@Lroy The best tip for Terra Cresta is make sure you dictate where the attack patterns come from. They are determined by where you are on the screen. You can test it on the very first attack pattern of the game. If you are on the left side of the screen, the ships will appear on the right. But it doesn't end there. The ships travel to the bottom of the screen, fire and then travel back up. Finally, they come back down. When they get to the top of the screen they will either go left or right to begin their descent, again depending on whether you are left or right. So basically, the less moving you do, the easier the game is and knowing how the patterns react makes them a lot more predictable.

I find it best to focus on dodging bullets (and the collision detection in my eyes is unforgiving so give things a wide birth!) because ships try to stay out of the way.

One final thing. Stay mostly to either left or right of the screen. Once an attack pattern appears, then move to destroy them. If you stay in the middle, it can actually split attack patterns so half come from both sides! These can be tricky to kill.

Steredenn is absolutely superb ,love it! It would make for a good future challenge.The main game is randomly generated so that wouldn't work but it's possible to select a seed so everyone's run would be the same.

@DashKappei I believe the Xbox version is still to receive the Binary Stars update ,I think it's coming soon though. The update added a lot to the game ,new enemies ,bosses ,backgrounds and modes and I think improved graphics. So if you enjoy it on Xbox you'll love it on Switch. Great game!

Just set my own high score on Steredenn moving me up a couple of places on the leaderboard. If I could have just hung on for a few more seconds against the boss as it was about to blow I'd have scored over 3 million.

I'm trying to better my Steredenn score myself from time to time, but as with most roguelites you need to put a good amount of time in it to master it... and most of the time when I'm not playing MP games or recent releases I find myself craving for more EtG (almost 50 hours into and still have to unlock roughly half of the guns & items).

Just broke 70k and am now tied with @masterLEON I don't think we've ever had 2 identical scores on any of the leaderboards.

Finally got around to making up the Galaga 88 leaderboard. Apologies for the delay . I'm now back settled at home so there shouldn't be any similar delays going forward. If I left anyone off the leaderboard please let me know.

As for the Psikyo open leaderboards (Strikers 1945 & Tengai) there's not really enough single credit scores submitted. If anyone has a decent score on these who hasn't already posted their score please post it here so I can make a leaderboard with more than 3 or 4 names on it

Good job mate. No need for the apology. After all this thread is one the biggest reasons why I enjoy gaming so much more nowadays. Little delays doesn't matter
