@masterLEON Can I please ask you how much the Table Pack was and what are your fave tables out of the pack?

Looks like they patched up the back door entrance between yesterday and today. I was going to look up the full lists of the other table packs.

But anyway, they were all $29.99US and are the standard versions, which is the same as all existing release platforms (no news of Pro versions as of yet). However, what's different now is that some extra tables from later packs have been merged into some of the existing Season Packs (maybe to help catch up to the mobile/PC releases?).

So, the Season One Table Pack has:
Taxi
Theatre of Magic
Twilight Zone
Attack from Mars
Bride of Pinbot
Cirqus Voltaire
Creature From the Black Lagoon
Genie
Harley Davidson third Edition
Medieval Madness
Monster Bash
Black Hole
Ripley's Believe it or Not

And the newly merged tables to the Season One Table Pack:
Big Shot
Black Knight
Elvira and the Party Monsters
Elvira Scared Stiff
Fun House
Gorgar
No Good Gofers
Star Trek the Next Generation

Already, this is a top tier selection of some of the most well-designed and popular pinball tables! Starting with my favorites, Theatre of Magic and Creature from the Black Lagoon. Both of which I poured many hours and quarters into, back in the day at my college's cafeteria. Those tables officially helped solidify my skills on pinball. Add to that, there's Twilight Zone, Medieval Madness, Cirqus Voltaire, Monster Bash, Ripley's, Star Trek: TNG, and of course, Tales of the Arabian Nights, all excellent tables in their own right. I also like Attack From Mars, Fun House, Harley Davidson, and Scared Stiff.

Suffice to say, if you want a pack to start with when it comes back, Season One is it!

@masterLEON Thanks for such a comprehensive answer. I shall looking forward to playing the tables you mentioned when they are available to download. I like Tales of Arabian Nights quite a bit I must say. I feel the gameplay is a lot less convulted than the Pinball FX3 tables.

Finally I get my fair share of gaming.
Praise the Switch!

That table pack 1 has some insane value right there!
I have no idea how they packed in all those other tables as well as it was already a terrific deal looking at some of those original tables and their quality.

Oh and since we've been talking a lot about SNK and NISA, you might want to read this: https://nintendoeverything.com/nisa-deal-with-nintendo-for-sn...
Seems like Nintendo itself is playing a big part in getting as much support from both SNK and NISA.
And those numbers paint a good picture as well. We'll be seeing a lot of support from NISA, that's for sure.

I personally would be very surprised if Nintendo didn't have a similar deal with KoeiTecmo as they have been heavily supporting the Switch since day one.

And that's a very good thing. A and B tier games (talking about budget here, not quality) and even C tier games can have a very hard time finding a audience these days where all the focus is put on the big AAA "cinematic experiences" and such.
And while I don't mind those big games once in a while, at least if they are done well and not just as a means to fleece consumers is the most scummy ways possible which seems to have become a real trend in and of itself in the past 3-4 years. There's something about those smaller projects.
Back in the PS2, Xbox and Wii days we still saw tons of A and B games come out, and that's what filled out those systems catalogue.
These are also easier to take risks on and thus we get games that do some weird things, which sometimes turn out to be incredible like Elebits/Eledees and Trauma Center for instance. Or a personal favourite on Wii: Zangeki no Reginleiv.

I agree completely with @masterLEON, Season 1 is where's it's at. Lots of all time classics there

Sadly, I only nabbed the free table before it was removed from the store, but Tales of the Arabian Nights is an awesome table for now!

@meppi64 I'm finally back in town. But fantastic, glad you found time attack. I'll have to jump on it some time this week and take a shot at those lap times. So which one is your current XBL account? I'll add you.

You know, I'm not entirely sure how the upscaling works. I would hope it would work similar to how it does with say NVIDIA DSR by just upscaling the game to 4K even if you are still on a 1080p monitor/TV. The upscale process will clean the image and remove the jaggies no matter what display you are using. But again, I'm not sure how it works exactly with XB1X. As for frame rates, I'm willing to bet those don't get changed at all. Not that they couldn't handle running it at a higher FPS, but it would all depend on how the game was developed.

Anyway, it's always nice to be back home even though I had a great time at PAX East. I got to catch up with a lot of friends and check out a few games while I was there. Obviously, the first thing I did was to make sure to check out Lumines Remastered on Switch. It was Shinin'!

But now I'm back home catching up on stuff and playing Tengai and Dragon Blaze. I look forward to competing in this week's challenge.

@CaffeinatedGamer
My username is the same as on everything: meppi64 That's the one I'll be playing on from now on anyway.
I can't even remember the old one and it might even have gotten deleted for inactivity by now, and my Japanese one is meppi65, but that one is only used to activate any Japanese only DLC and such, so I never play with it, unless I somehow forget to switch back when I download something from there.

I looked up a bunch of videos from Digital Foundry to get a better understanding of how the Xbox One X works, and while I still don't have any idea if you can set it to output just 1080p and have the remaining horsepower that is saved by not having to do 4K being used for performance, Knowing that even if 4K is the standard option of doing those kinds of things, give me a nice downsampled image with better AA, that would be pretty sweet.

What really blew my mind was how 360 games look way better in certain ways and have no screen tearing at all any more, which was seen in tons of games during that gen.
Performance also improves considerably, especially in games with unlocked frame rate. Wonder how EDF 2017 would run on an X.

I've been looking at what the system has to offer me personally and while it not anything spectacular as I'm looking at exclusive titles since I already have just about everything else on PS4, it's not too bad either.
The only problem is the lack variety since it's just a couple of franchises with several games each.
Forza 5,6,7, Forza Horizon 2 and 3, Gears of War remake and 4, Halo Master Chief and 5. And then things like Sunset Overdrive and a couple more that don't pop into my mind right now.
So nothing that really makes me jump out of my seat and run off to a store to pick one up immediately, but I can't say I don't feel that tingle in the back of my mind that I kinda want one.

The biggest stumbling block is the price. I'd prefer an X at this point due to all the improvement but that would set me back €500 just for the system and I already have way too much I want to buy on Switch this year.
And having the S with Forza Horizon 3 + HotWheel DLC for under €200 as an option, makes that €500 pill even more bitter.

@meppi64 I added you as a friend.

As tempted as I am to get my hands on an Xbox One X, I feel the same way as you right now with the price being just too much at the moment for it to be worth it. I'm happy with my S and have far too many games to play as it is, especially on the Switch. However, depending on what this huge backwards compatibility update is and how many of those games make use of upscaling could really determine just when I decide it's time to upgrade to the X.

See Horizon Chase Turbo is planned for a Switch release. It's a cross between Outrun, Topgear and Lotus Turbo Challenge and looks pretty good. The developers are finishing off the PS4 and Steam versions and then will get to the Switch version. Hopefully it'll be here before the end of the year.

@Lroy You're welcome.
Gonna order my copy as soon as I see it go up. Should I send you another message to remind you when it's live?

Been having a bad couple of days lately, so I've been taking it really slow.
Hardly came off of the couch yesterday after getting out of bed, so yeah... Ups and downs, I'm kinda used to it by now.
Spent the day watching Wrestlemania, well parts of it anyway as it was really, really bad. I know I should just stick with New Japan Pro Wrestling and be done with it, but I somehow expect them to do something worthwhile on the big shows and they always disappoint me. lol
At least I'm not paying them any more money for their network. ;P

Also been digging into my 360 backlog as I get tons of games I haven't gotten to yet.
Felt like playing Sleeping Dogs again... man, such a wonderful game. Far from perfect, but still. It's without a doubt my favourite GTA like game ever made.
Even platinumed it on PS4, which is something that basically never happens, played a bunch on PS3 back in the day before switching to 360 and playing it again on there. Now I'm continuing on 360 where I left off and ended the day with some PGR3.

Been looking into getting an Xbone as well, especially for all the Forza games and the Halo's (again).
Found a great deal, €179 for a 500GB S with Forza Horizon 3 and the Hot Wheels DLC, which looks soooo good! Problem is, the online store is sold out and I can't get to one of the actual stores to see if they still have one in. Gonna try and see if I can change that before they are all sold out.
And one of the first games I'll buy for it will be, yet Sleeping Dogs again.

Shouldn't be a surprise that I love 80's and 90's Hong Kong films.

edit: Site listing: Yeah, that's normal. They don't put it up till it's time to preorder.
That's why I said I'd keep an eye out on their newsletter. It's best to sign up to that to get the news early, especially since they are shaping up to be one of the biggest Switch supporters.

@meppi64 Yes, please do send me a reminder when it is up on the store. And thank you.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling rundown. Hope your mojo returns sooner rather than later. You'll need it to make a dent in all the games you've got on the go across multiple systems by the sounds of it, lol!

Just bought Dragons Blaze and Bad Dudes off the US Eshop. Have yet to play DZ bad Bad Dudes is awesome.

I'm waiting to get both of these on the UK eShop but the wait is driving me nuts. I completed BAD DUDES... on MAME last year and it is a game I have played a lot on actual arcade cabs in my youth and across muliptle ports to home computers and alike. Really want to see how the emulation stacks up as it will likely decide how many of these Johnny Turbo games I buy. I love Data East and really want these games to be given the care and attention they deserve.

Can't wait to play DRAGON BLAZE for the first time.

Hyper Sentinel, the 'Neo-retro' shoot-em-up inspired by Uridium and Defender now has a release date, the 11th of May.

@Lroy I've never played the original so can't compare it to that but going by my brief playthrough the emulation seems to be pretty good. The various filters are a nice touch. The charge punch is in there, it's version 1.0.1 now. It's a shame there aren't online leaderboards and the image quality isn't quite as sharp as Hamster or Psikyo releases but it's still pretty good.

@OorWullie You've never played BAD DUDES vs. DRAGON NINJA? Wow, welcome to the party 😉

I know we all have popular games we personally have little to no experience of (hell, there's tons of supposedly ubiquitous classics that I've never even seen in the flesh let alone played). But man, alongside DOUBLE DRAGON, BAD DUDES was pretty much everywhere I went as kid in the late eighties.

Good to hear it plays well for you but yeah, real shame about no leaderboards.

@Lroy will do! Glad to help.
And yeah, if I were to tackle my collection and play through all my games, I'd have my work cut out till far into retirement, yet I keep buying things. lol
Really looking forward to a dragon Blaze. Hopefully it comes out this week.
Gonna hold off on Bad Dudes as I have bought way too much stuff already (just ordered 12 Xbone games for instance, despite not having the system yet). Yeah....
And I have to put some money aside for when Pinball Arcade launches here and to get all the Switch games that are coming up that I don't want to miss out on.

Going to have to slow down my buying considerably, because I've been going absolutely crazy this past 2 weeks.
