Now that spring is approaching, does anyone have any more information on when a release is scheduled? As someone who passionately played La-Mulana 1 on WiiWare, I can't wait to play the second part. Though it is already available on Steam, I have been holding off to wait for the Switch version to enjoy the benefits of that console.
For anyone who is also interested in La-Mulana 2, I found out that the game will be released on June 27th for both PS4, XBox and Nintendo Switch in Japan. The game will be available for download, as well as in form of cartridge. A release date for other countries has not been announced yet. Here are the links:
I am surprised that Nintendo Life didn't cover this. Let's hope that it won't be long until the game will be released in other countries. When it comes to me, I wouldn't mind buying the Japanese cartridge provided that it features English language.
Thanks for asking that at the Nigoro forum! I will be awaiting their answer to your question. I am cautiously optimistic that English will be included in the Japanese release.

That's disappointing I was actually quite positive that they would offer English text language in the Japanese release.
Now we can only hope that the overseas version won't take much time before release...
Still have until June 27, 2019 release date to cancel my Amazon Japan order. But that is a real drag here.... But I might still get it because it has a limited extra release and that would be the only reason I would get it.

It's annoying that we have to wait until 2020 for the western version, but the inclusion of La-Mulana 1 somewhat makes up for it. Now I wonder if the first part is the "full" version (that includes the Hell Temple), or the version that appeared on Nintendo Wii Ware (without Hell Temple)?
The price is $59.99, and the stated release date is March 10, 2020. Man, I am patient, but I think we have been waiting for way too long for this. Come on, it will be almost 2 years since the Steam-release (and almost 1 year after the Japanese release). On the other hand, those who bought the Japanese version will not get to enjoy the goodies that the bundle comes with.
The box art has been finalized and it looks pretty dope.

I'm playing La-Mulana 2 and I'm 50 hours in. Beat 5 guardian bosses and I'm about halfway through.
And I can only go 2 ways.
1. Hall of Malice. Where's the goddamn map??? Sorry for that, but man, I was smashed, fried, electrocuted, spiked, and burnt to death so many times. Dark Souls is a baby game compared to this.
2. Hellish underground area. Can't warp out. Some doors lead to random areas I visted before. Feels like a trap that kicks you out, but on the other hand, it's good to have some exits so you can backtrack to a savepoint.
