@foxyflimflam Sent... I found Nintendo Life when New Leaf came out and made awesome friends. Good times swapping items/fruit/etc. so made sure I came back to NL when this one launched. Good AC friends are priceless.

are you supposed to do anything if a villager is home sick? Like give them something?

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
@Ryu_Niiyama In past AC games (Wild World, I think?) you would bring them medicine each day. It took them days to get better. I don't know how it works in NH as I'm yet to encounter a sick villager. Are you able to interact with them?

Social distancing! Board up the house and keep them away from the other villagers!
Just kidding... either craft some medicine or buy it from the Nook twins and give it to the villager once a day for two or three days. They'll get better. If you don't, they'll recover anyway but will hate you for not helping them.
I totally thought my new villager, Quillson the hipster Duck was just blowing off the ceremonies for the Able Sisters and new incline - then I realized he was home sick. Forget that was a thing.
In other news, I am kind of bummed that we can't send items in letter that have a custom design. I feel like a total idiot for just assuming I could. I bought a ton of mugs, customized them all with my town flag, and was gonna send one to each villager - only to realize we can't do that.
I am guessing this is because of multi-player and the way you can adopt villagers from other players. I'd guess they bring their items with them? And if they did that with a custom design that the other player didn't have, it would cause issues.
@Mountain_Man really? They'll hate you for not helping? Shoot i wasn't planning on doing anything if it happened but i guess I'll have to now 😋
Well, as much as any critter will hate you in Animal Crossing, like they'll stop giving you presents or sending you letters, and if you already had a poor relationship with them, they might move out.
Hello everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your island getaways. I have a question....
Do you have to water your flowers everyday? I only ask because I plan to plant a ton of flowers on my island and I remember in New Leaf that if you went a period of time without watering them they would wilt and turn brown. I love my flowers but watering all of them is taking a lot of time......
Thanks for taking the time to answer!

@Xyphon22 Anywhere on the top level of the river. I caught mine halfway between the waterfall and pool on a single level cliff, it doesn't have to be double leveled.

No need to water flowers to keep them alive in New Horizons, but you do have to tend them if you want them to cross pollinate and create new colors and varieties.
