Topic: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

@Pink_Yoshi There's currently one shop upgrade (and I believe there will be at least one more in the future but not yet). The info on how to unlock it is a bit up in the air still but it seems like you need to wait like 30 days after getting the shop and spend/buy 200k Bells worth or something like that. I don't believe the plot size changes though (to my knowledge, haven't got it yet) so you shouldn't have to worry about making more room for it.

The Island Designer app which includes the path, water and cliff tools does indeed unlock after K.K. visits.

Does anyone here have white streetlamps? I'm thinking of replacing all my bronze ones but I'd need a heap of them to do it. Would be willing to buy/trade for as many as possible.

@BenAV That's great - thank you. Like I keep saying I am trying to build my island up at the moment so am putting in as much as I can with what I have. I'm amazed at how far forward some people are with their islands, some look absolutely beautiful

@Pink_Yoshi I'm not sure when Nooks Cranny gets upgraded. I had heard that you need to play for a full month but it's my 29th day playing and I haven't heard anything about it being upgraded yet.

You get the ability to make paths after K.K. visits. I needed to get 4 star rating for him to visit my town. I skipped past 3 star so I'm not sure if that is good enough.

@Lard_Bucket It's indeed three star for K.K. to visit.

I watched a video by Austin John on YouTube who has seen the data mining work done by others that showed Nooks Cranny will upgrade naturally after 29 days with 200,000 bells spent and sold collectively in the shop. So I’m expecting the shop to upgrade over the weekend. Fingers crossed because nooks is a rubbish shop in general.

@Lard_Bucket I heard that also but was not sure so I thought I'd check with everyone on here.

I am currently trying to get my island up to scratch for the star rating, I'm making a park at the moment and a shopping area. I am not as talented for design and layout as some people are but I will get there!

@meeto_1 glad its not just me who thinks Nooks Cranny is a little bit rubbish! I wish Tommy and Timmy wouldn't repeat each other's last word either, ha ha

@meeto_1 I'm kinda expecting that mine won't upgrade any time soon. I was playing when the clocks went back for daylight savings and I noticed when the day changed at 4am so I saved and quit and went back in and it jumped back from 5am to 4am so the game will probably count that as time travelling backward and reset my count or something. But we shall see.

What's up with the pictures that are for sale on the PC? They look like pictures, but they have a music note symbol. Are they music for my vinyl player, or just a pretty picture?

@Octane They're the music tracks that you can buy for any of the various music player pieces of furniture. There should be one in Nook Shopping every day so make sure to keep buying them so you can build your collection, and once K.K. Slider starts showing up, you can request specific songs from him each Saturday.

Been down with a horrible migrane so wasn't on for most of the day yesterday. ): Hoping I can make up for that lost time!!!!! Why must this game be so addicting!?!?!?

I know, right? I've been meaning to make some decent progress in other games over the last few days but have basically only played Animal Crossing.

@Pink_Yoshi the upgraded Nook's Cranny expands some but just to where the rope fence is I believe. I don't think the game let's you place anything where it will expand.

I have been to at least 3 islands now that have the upgraded Nook's Cranny. Only one said they time traveled. Hopefully it is just the 29-30 days. It took forever for me to get the Able Sister's shop. Everyone had been posting about them at least a week before they opened on my shop.

@Octane I buy duplicates of the ones I think look cool so I can still register the song in whatever music player I want, and still can hang it on the wall if whenever I get the urge to (:

@BenAV I know!! There are so many other games and just things in general I want/need to do. But then I end up spending entire days on Animal Crossing! Its so easy to lose track of time! Lol

@SonicMos I've already got that recipe but I wouldn't mind coming and taking a look around and grabbing another while I'm there, if you're planning to open your gates.
