Topic: Advance Wars Now, Please.. It's About Time!

With the Fire Emblem series (one of my faves) now a cemented success story.... It's about time Nintendo and Intelligent Systems took another go at the far superior Advance Wars franchise. Be it a complete collection or new game... Hopefully both!

If this is at all possible then it should return to the fun style of the series before Days of Ruin... Though I loved DoR, it's just not as appealing as the series headed by Andy, Max and Sami.

So if anybody can get word out there to Nintendo and IS, please help us AW fans!!! Our bodies are ready!!

I agree. To all of the above! Except the bit about being superior to Fire Emblem; the story elements (and relationships) in FE are much better (IMHO) than the seemingly random battles in AW, which has characters that have virtually no personaility, but I do prefer the variety of weapons at your command over the same old, same old from the last couple of FE games. Bring back more variety to FE (enemies and playable chars) I say.

But I'd be more than happy to get more of the same of both games on the Switch tbh!

I know about Wargroove. It just isn't AW and Chucklefish aren't IS. But that's not gonna stop me from playing the hell out of it!! It will do until the real McCoy returns.

That's just how much I love AW! FE Awakening is definitely one of my fave games ever. I've just finished Fates.. Though fun, Fates seemed more chore-like... I've yet to play the GBA ones and I don't own Radiant Dawn or Shadow Dragon. Playability wise... AW does feel superior... I've not played a battle in FE yet where I'm up all night on one mission.

Ahh, Well then if people prefer DoR style over the original... (Which is surprising because that was the straw that broke the camel's back?) Then I'm not gonna complain. Just more Advance Wars please Nintendo!!!

I guess those of us that prefer the style of Advance Wars 1, 2, and Dual Strike are in the minority here. I really l liked the way they streamlined the number of available units in DoR, and the anti-tank and flare units brought great balance to the game. However, I just really enjoy the goofy, cartoony graphics and characters of the first three games over the dark anime style of DoR.

I'd love another Advance Wars game. I'm more fond of the original style because it's more lighthearted and Nintendo-like though I would accept Dark Conflict/Days of Ruin style as well. I personally prefer Advance Wars over Fire Emblem. We've gotten so many FE games during the 3DS era that I can't keep up with them. While we're talking about Intelligent Systems strategy games, I wouldn't mind Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. sequel as long as we get AW first.

Anyone played Warbits? If you've got an Apple phone or tablet, I heartily recommend it as a very loving Advance Wars clone. You can even play asynchronous multiplayer. It may not be exactly what you want, but it'll certainly scratch that itch. And it's cheap as chips. I suspect Intelligent Systems are all in on Fire Emblem these days.

I would take either style of AW...seems like a great idea to me.

You know what? Advance Wars Maker, create your own characters and units...Then make your own campaign and everything, make it happen Nintendo! xp

Advance wars 2 and DS are two of the only turn based strategy games I truly love (the other 2 games are good also!), so I would be so happy to see a new one. Or at least make a game expanding on that weird real-time minigame in DS. That has some real potential imo.
