Topic: AC adapter won't work

After coming home from a handball cup where I had taken my switch with me, I noticed that my AC adapter wouldn't charge my switch or work with my dock. I tried out two other usb-c chargers, and they worked. I've tried out restarting my switch and plugging the ac adapter in and out and stuff, but it just won't work now. I did lend a phone charger to charge my switch an hour on the bus on the way home again, so could that be the reason why it won't work? I don't have any other usb-c type systems I can test the ac adapter on. I should also mention that I have barely ever used anything onther than the ac adapter to charge my switch. Will a new AC adapter work on my switch now?

Your charger was likeley damaged at some point. Thats my guess anyway. In the meantime, you should probobly get an official nintendo replacement charger. Just random cords with the same port can be damaging. Hope you figure it out @Kriztian!

@MysticGengar thanks for answering. I'll try to find something I can test the AC adapter on before getting a new one. I wonder how it might have gotten damaged. Is it common for AC adapters to stop working like this?

Don't think so, but I've had GBA and iPhone chargers just stop on me before. Not the same type, but I do have so many cords I have absolutely tripped on a few. My guess? Somebody likely tripped on the cord and just went along with their day, not relizing what happened.
