Or the game is a multi-platform game, which means any new DLC would be released for all systems, not just Switch 2. Sonic Superstars is on Switch 1, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Making Switch 2 only DLC would not be fair to people who own the game on those systems.

Nintendo makes Switch 2 editions in hopes it sells consoles. Which doesn't appeal to me, because firstly, I have a Switch 1, and secondly, I just don't buy DLC often. DLC really has to add something to a game outside of characters I won't use, for me to buy it. The Mario Kart 8 Course Pass comes to mind.

Also, I think Sega is done with Sonic Superstars, their focus seems to be CrossWorlds (which is honestly a great racing game IMHO). This is coming from someone who likes Sonic Superstars.
